^ oh those look just divine! I've never tried cookies with ice cream before - my next culinary adventure me thinks. Nana's wheat free choc chip cookie in warm chocolate custard is nice, at the moment I'm just slumming it with warm banana bread spread with peanut butter:).

Kitteh- I am really chiding myself now for not using my copy of Viva Vegan yet! It all looks so good, and the photography is great! Firestorm and Frosty- you have some nice looking eats as well, especially the chicken salad sub:)

Sorry - Its a cake made using Shreddies but I used Tesco's own brand cos Shreddies aren't vegan, so I call it shredder cake (partly because is sounds similar and partly because there was a Sheddies TV advert in the 90's with Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles in).

"Nettle-cashew "cheese", spring onion confit, roasted king trumpet mushrooms, black olives, chile flake, arugula-herb salad, Olio Nuovo olive oil"

Sounds complicated.. but absolutely delicious.

My friend went with soup of the day, it was a creamy potato(sweet?) soup with avocado garnish. Very yummy!

For my main course:
Seared Jasmine Rice & Coconut Cake
"Roasted root vegetables, king trumpet mushrooms & braised tofu, lemongrass-caramelized shallot-beer broth, spicy kumquat sambal, Asian aromatic & sprout salad, chile candied cashews"

The tofu was my favorite part of this dish, I usually don't really enjoy soft tofu but the combination of the sauces made it amazing. The cashews were delicious, I wanted a plate of them!

My friend's main course:
Brik Pastry Beggar's Purse
"Truffled walnut-mushroom duxelle, sage scented seitan, wilted kale, caramelized onion & potato filling, green peppercorn-whiskey cream, seared Brussels sprouts with chile & pine nuts, blood orange-beet reduction"

I sampled this as well, the seitan was perfect!

The best part of dining here was getting to try the amazing desserts. This dessert made my mouth water, it was one of the best I've ever tasted! The bottom was consisted of a slightly crispy coconut cake, with delicious cream on top (coconut as well I think). Garnished with mint and marmalade cherries. The ice cream was a little sweet and minty, amazing.

Peanut Butter-Chocolate Chip Bread Pudding
"Roasted banana ice cream, canella anglaise"

Simply yummy. If you're a fan of peanut butter cups, this is a wonderful choice!

Overall it was worth every penny. (LOTS of pennies..)
