I knew I had to stay away from this thread! I never learn! At the moment, we are 'doing raw' but oh my. What delicious looking vegan food! OK, mouth is now watering...

Pusskins, there's nowt wrong with a bit of cooked food. Increase the amount of raw food in your diet if it makes you feel better, but there's really no reason to eliminate cooked food entirely from your diet. Barry's tagine, pizza and stirfry will only do you good. :) If it's not hurting others or harming you, don't deprive yourself! ;)

:o Its a packet mix - I used Asda's chiken chunks (might have to take a trip to the Quay Co-op cafe if i'm in Ireland!):

Mmm. No Asdas in Dublin unfortunately, may have to improvise! Cheers though.

Yeah, the quay was great, but those photos don't do Cafe Paradiso justice. It was the best restaurant I've ever been to, I've never had a meal like it.

Realeat chikin is almost identical (but has more salt) and I think Asda may have discontinued theirs anyway (I'm down to my last 4 packs - after that I'm back on Realeat/Redwood/Frys/Viana)!

The patties in the background are sweet potato and carrot :meow:

I made this tonight for my boyfriend. He was craving "neon-orange boxed mac n cheese"

This is the most unhealthy, non-dessert meal I have ever made, and although I refused to eat more than a few spoonfuls I am still quite proud of how it turned out. :D

Hey Ruby! That looks really great, can I have the recipe please? :rollseyes_ani:I haven't been on the forum in forever and just saw this was posted yesterday! How funny. I think I'm going a bit psychic in my old age. :p Sure, I'll try to find it for you! (Super envious of those burgers, too!)

cook 1-16oz box Wegmans Italian Classics Lumachine (elbows)
Drain and set aside in pan.

In a sauce pan melt 1/4 c Earth balance vegan margarine over low heat.
Add 2 blocks Follow Your Heart Vegan Gourmet Cheddar.
mash cheese with your stirring spoon to melt faster.
Add 2 tsp salt. cover, stirring occasionally until melted.

Warm 3/4 c soy milk in the microwave.
Whisk 1/8 c flour into warm soy.
Pour flour/soy milk mixture into melted cheese.
Mix well, taste and add more salt if needed.

Add cheese to mac and mix well. Serve hot.

^-- That's how I made it, but you would prob have better luck with leftovers if you can get your hands on Daiya instead. The Follow Your Heart goes solid as soon as it cools. Still yummy though. :)

that is a ton of cheese rubes. I think I may have a hard time giving that much cheese to a recipe....especially since they are like 6 bucks a block... lol

I made the best mac and cheese yesterday...I kind of loosly followed the veganomicon nutrional yeast sauce recipe, and the way I did it turned out way better....also I mixed panko bread crumbs into the mixture, it was devine.

YW :)

I know missb, it is a ton of cheese! I've only made it that way once as a special request, because my (now) husband was dying for that "Kraft" boxed crap.

...It was really good though :o
