I don't usually do baking so this was a bit of a novelty for me.

Thats a beautiful dish Risker! Is that pastry design your own idea?

Risker

No, that's just how you make pasties, though some say they should be crimped at the side rather than the top. I think it's even a legal requirement for 'cornish' pasties to be done that way.

They look great, have you thought of selling them at vegan fairs and stuff?

Nah. You have to pay the council to inspect your kitchen and stuff if you want to do that. West Cornwall Pasty Co do a vegan pasty.

Risker, I'll buy one off you on the black market. They look bloody good.

And WHAT? I never knew they did a vegan one at the West Cornwall Pasty Company! How exciting! My friend makes really good vegan cheese and onion ones using puff pastry. :)

Just made this! Very quick and easy Chikn parmesan. Whole grain rotini, sauce, vegan chikn, daiya, nutritional yeast, and fresh basil. Yum!

This is the awesome vegan pizza from Mellow Mushroom. I got the mega veggie sans butter and with daiya, and had them put jerk seasoned tempeh on it.

Is that cornbread wheat free? Can I be really cheeky and ask you for the recipe for it? :o Just a basic idea would be fine - I can play around with spices and flavours myself. (I looove rosemary in bread, though). The pasta and pizza both look delish, too.

Yes! Many recipes I have seen use wheat, but that is not how we made it back home in Kentucky. I make it old school. :rollseyes_ani:

Here (http://www.kosherblog.net/2005/03/09/blue_ribbon_vegan_cornbread/) is the recipe I used, but here is how I changed it:

I used only stone ground corn meal, so 2 c cornmeal and no flour, and I used a few squeezes of agave rather than sugar. I am used to unsweetened cornbread, so I didn't want it too sweet. I was also out of soy milk so used almond milk instead, but I think it would be great either way!

What's the quiche made from? I've never actually had 'normal' quiche but that looks nice!

RubyDuby

It was silken tofu, soy milk, nutritional yeast, corn starch, onion powder, turmeric, salt and then mixed in mushrooms, onions and spinach, rosemary and black pepper. (=
