Yeah, it's not obvious though, they got broken down during the breadmaking.

What's baked bean bread like? I like beans and I like bread but am slightly terrified at the prospect of the two cooked together in an unholy union.

It's lovely, the bean flavour isn't noticable itself but the overall flavour is very nice and it has a nice light orange hue to the crumb.

I can see the orange hue! It's beans in toast instead of on :)

I really like Vegan Brunch, I have made bagels and English muffins from it that turned out really well :)

Its one of my favourite cookbooks, I used it the first time I made seitan (Italian Feast Sausages) and have loved it since (seitan and the book), I am making a few more things from it this week as well (Banana Rabanada, Scrambled Tofu, Red Flannel Hash & maybe some more Italian Feast Sausages)

I think that you said before that you have about 80 cookbooks (maybe more?) so that is an honour! :)

I think its currently at 76. Should be 80 by Christmas (there is a new Isa book due soon!)

I think its great that you are using leftovers in bread rather than letting them go to waste.
Maybe quiche or spaghetti bolognese bread next?
