That sounds absolutely delicious Artichoke - how do you make it? What caramel? Is it a syrup? Oooh I've got to try some!.....drool......
I got the caramel recipe from www.veganchef.com.
I use about 2/3 apple cider, 1/3 non-dairy milk, and then 2 T. of caramel! :)

i think i have found a new one...samosas, i had them homemade (but not by me, but by an indian couple that are my friends) tonight at a christmas party. they were soooo good, i think that i eat way too much indian food, but gosh, i could LIVE on it, i wanna visit india so badly too, i think that would be a life altering experience, and then i would have all the comfort food i could ever want (:D)

btw, i've never managed to find a really fantastic vegan gravy mix.... Can anyone recommend one? I'd be eversa grateful like.
the gravy from Tesco that Lily mentioned is good, but i personally prefer Bisto roast onion gravy granules, if you haven't tried it give that a go as well (they're definitely vegan, doesn't say on the label but it does say so on their website).
mmmmmmmmmm roast potatoes and gravy, great comfort food :D

any fav recipes? :D
I don't follow any recipes exactly, since I have no intention of actually baking cookies. I just throw things together; for example, 3 spoonfuls flour, 1 spoon sugar, 1 spoon brown sugar, 1 spoon margarine and some vanilla. I made a double batch one night and felt a bit ill so I've cut down on the frequency.:D

it's funny, i was watching a tv program last night and had made up my minf that i must try chestnuts (i know--) and now i see posts on here, and i was thinking they seemed as though they would be a very comforting food...
Chestnuts are nice. I put them in my curries.
My main comfort food is pasta. When I am not feeling well I like to eat supermarket bread toasted with Natex on, or just spread with margarine. I also like soup when its cold outside.
