I just love it! The ad that is not the intestines. It reminds me that when I was young (a long time ago), my Mum used to serve cod roe, tripe, winkles and other such amazing delicacies to the family. I wouldn't eat them then either!

Not quite as bad as vegetarian intestines was Vegetarian Mushroom Fluff. It's a serious product, I think you use it for soup bases and stuff. It looks like dark brown fairy floss (cotton candy). I bought some once simply because the name made me laugh.

Yes they do, it's called chitlings/chitterlings. I know a few African-Americans who eat them

I almost forget, they are commonly served with hogmaw (pig throat)

I knew someone who used to eat chitterlings. I used to think she was mad then but I thought they were the testicles of some animal.........just as bad I know :(

As we all know, eating animals, any part is disgusting but what would make anyone think that taking a part of animal, their digestive system and scraping out loads of poo and gristle, would be tasty?

I occasionally see the advertisements for that in various restaurants/grocery stores in Southern States. Animal Intestines is used in other products, for example, traditional link sausage are stuffed into casings which are made from animal intestine (http://www.insca.org/faq/faq4.htm) .

I'd eat vegan intestine. Why not? Only, I don't really find myself craving intestine.

Boy, this thread just gets more and more appitising, doesn't it?
