I need to go on the candida diet. I'm having a tough time finding anything online about doing a vegan version of the candida diet. In fact, everything I read says that it's nearly impossible. I'm vegan and nothing is going to change that. Has anyone done a vegan candida diet? Any suggestions?

That had me curious: why wouldn't a candida-starving diet be vegan friendly?
Now I read that the old sensible recommended diet has gone Adkins. Rubbish.

I haven't had to battle candida more than one post-partum/antibiotic cycle episode. Knew lots of folks that benefited from clearing up candida -they were junkfood omnis and struggled. Basically low glycemic and free of fermented foods (wine bread etc).

So, the way I see it, if you have a plan that you are committed to, I think you will do better than the flesh eaters. Really, how tough can greens and quinoa be?

Good luck!

Hi, there isn't much/any scientific evidence for the need for anti-candida diets, it seems to be purely an "alternative" thing - I know you two won't need that pointed out but I will just in case anyone else is reading. There's a bit about it here. under alternative therapies http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Candida_(fungus)

Having said that, if it involves cutting out junk food it's bound to do you good :)

Thanks! I will put together weekly meal plans... that should help keep me on track. :)
