I gave these little sweets a try this morning. Simple, easy, no mess, no fuss and deeeeelicious! :p

Peanut Butter Chews:

- half cup peanut butter (I used organic, crunchy)
- half cup Lily White Corn Syrup
- half cup sugar (I had some pre-vegan white sugar to use up, but I'm sure any sugar would do just fine).
- 3 cups cornflake type cereal

Directions:
1. In a saucepan over medium heat, mix together the peanut butter, corn syrup and sugar. Bring to a boil, remove from heat.

2. Add cereal and mix well. Drop large teaspoon size dollops onto a non-stick tray or paper and put in the fridge to cool.

Corn syrup is liquid sugar produced from cornstarch. Light corn syrup is clarified and decolorized and usually contains some vanilla for flavor. Dark corn syrup has caramel flavor and coloring added and has a stronger flavor. They can be used interchangeably, taking into account the stronger flavor of the dark variety.

No, I will not eat the peanut butter chews. Okay I will, but I'll be very resentful about it. What brand of peanutbutter do you use?

The supermarket where I shop have their own organic brand. It contains organic peanuts only.
