Hey I haven't been on here for a while, but now I am pregnant woohoo!. Im only 10 weeks. The only food aversions I have atm is coffee so I should be ok with eating how i used to. Is there any specific foods I would need to increase to ensure im getting all the nutrients me and baba need.
I am researching all this aswell just thought it would be nice to talk to vegan women about pregnancy. This is my second pregnancy but first as a vegan

Thanks

Lainey

No one said "congrats" yet???

Congrats Lainey!

I have no idea which foods are particularly beneficial in pregnancy though ..

Anyways, a joke that works far better verbaly than written ...

Preggers woman goes for an ultrasound.

Doctor asks if she would the like the standard or the new upgraded procedure.

Woman asks what the new procedure is.

Doc tells her they can now place a little window through the abdominal wall into the uterus so you can actualy watch your baby grow. Cost an extra £1000 quid though.

Woman comments that seems quite expensive.

Doc replies that it always costs a little extra for a 'womb with a view'.

I am now 15 weeks in with my second, make sure you are getting avocados, walnuts, pumpkin seeds, hemp seeds, ALGE -E3 live is good.... Umm what else? Tons of greens.... Just eating a well balanced diet with lots of colour will do it... Nuts and seeds are a huge plus on hand all the time :)

Just to chime in, be sure you're taking your B12 (cyanocobalamin) supplement. That is the top concern. I know..., but not everyone does. Looking out for the lil ones.
