I've tried every kind of vegan cheese available in the UK and have never found anything that I really liked so I was very pleased to find Violife vegan cheese. So far I've had Original, Cheddar and For Pizza (which melts really well). Has anyone else tried it?

Only the hard cheeses are available in the UK at the moment, I can't wait to try the soft versions when they arrive.

For anyone in the Brighton area Infinity Foods sell the ones mentioned above.

In Spain there is a brand available called Wilmersburger and I have a feeling that it is the same as Violife. It does various flavoured slices and a grated pizza cheese. I liked the edam flavoured slices, the pizza cheese I thought was okay but I prefer Cheezly.

Yes, they are the same ... Viotros is the greek company that was originally asked to produce the "Wilmersburger", now they have come out with the same product on their own.

I quite like both of them, although most of the cheeses are still a bit bland (the Dutch/German taste from the 70's)

Best regards,
Andy
