I am hosting my sister's baby shower in a month or so and there's me (vegan) and another girl who says she isn't vegan but eats a plant-based diet and would prefer just eating vegan. I was just going to nibble on the fruit and veggie tray but now I feel like I should have a separate sandwich for her and myself. I personally hate eating the veggie sandwich off of a sandwich tray because there isn't any protein in it and I just keep eating everything else to fill myself up, lol.

I was trying to find a place to order a yummy vegan sandwich from but I can't seem to find any (my sister lives in the boonies...) I'm not very good at making vegan sandwiches worthy of a party though.. any suggestions? I would like it to have protein in it but I don't want it to be too extravagant because I have no idea what she likes (I could just ask her, but she hasn't been very friendly/responsive so far :( ) Any suggestion at all would be appreciated!!!

Falafel, houmous, tahini & pickled chillies.

Do you like cheese alternatives? Vegusto cheese (is nut based) on some thick crusty bread with leaves/tomatoes/pesto? Or chunks of it in a mini wrap with houmous, rocket and spring onion.

It's tricky if you don't know what the other person likes. If you can be bothered maybe you could make a selection of bite-size sandwiches and wraps - in addition to the fillings already suggested you could try grilled tofu with relish; peanut butter, soy cream cheese and celery; avocado, refried bean and salsa. Or whatever you might enjoy youself. Just make three or four big sandwiches with different breads then cut them up small. And be prepared to fight off the non-vegans unless you make enough for them too!

Mmm, refried beans and salsa sounds nice harpy. Maybe I'll try that in a pitta bread myself.
