This vegan Mama needs baking advice from experienced vegan bakers for a quick loaf of bread 1/2 microwave - 1/2 oven. I'm googling info about how to bake a vegan whole wheat bread and when I add "quick" or "microwave" all I get is gluten-free? Does this mean that the only way to expedite the baking time of vegan bread is to make it gluten-free or is that a convoluted hit? Either way, please help! I need to figure this out asap! I recently moved and I'm an hour away from the nearest Whole Foods or Natural Grocers that sells the bread my family eats and we need to become more diy self-sufficient anyway. Thank you! <3

I happen to make home made bread just about every other day, so i have a bit of experience. Honestly, I'm not sure how you would use a microwave. If you have an oven, that's your best tool. I have a great and simple recipe to share if you're interested.

Ok, yes, I had a feeling and I thought so. That's wonderful that you bake your own homemade bread everyday. :) Yes, please share your recipe, I'd appreciate it very much. <3 :)

Makes one loaf
1 pk yeast (or 2 1/4 tsp)
1 1/2 tsp salt
4 1/2 tsp sugar
1 TBS vegan butter (or oil)
1 1/4 cup hot water
1 1/2 c wheat flour
2 c all purpose floor

Dissolve yeast in 1/4 c water. Wait until foamy (5 min).
1. In a large bowl, mix salt, sugar, butter. Pour in the yeast mixture, 1 cup hot water and stir.
2. Mix in wheat flour.
3. Measure 1c flour and put out on your kneading counter. And put another cup flour in the bowl and mix.
4. Turn out dough on floured surface. Let rest a couple minutes. Knead for 8-10 min.
5. Place in lightly oiled bowl and cover with plastic wrap. 45-60min.
6. Transfer dough to greased baking pan. Let rise another 45-60 min until the dough begins to rise above the edge of the pan.
350` for 30 min.

Same recipe can make white bread if using all white flour.
