I'm after you, applepie :p May it be www.chefkoch.de (http://www.chefkoch.de) ?
That's where I thought I knew you from. I remember your advice about vegan cappuccino/latte some time ago.

Of course Puffin is vegan, she couldn't post otherwise :D Joking- what are puffins (the edible variety)?
Haha yes, veganforum doesn't let me type in anything that's not vegan :)
Puffins are a puffed corn cereal made by Barbara's Bakery - http://www.worldpantry.com/cgi-bin/ncommerce3/CategoryDisplay?cgmenbr=587770&cgrfnbr=881894
They're not a purely vegan company, but they sure make good cereal.
today was a fab food day:
breakfast: two pieces wheat toast (one w/ pear butter, one dry), smoothie (banana, blueberries, vanilla rice milk), green tea
lunch: "chicken parm" sub (veggie cutlets coated w/ shake n' bake, pizza sauce & almond parmesan sprinkles on a millet-flax bun), carrot & zucchini fries
snack: tortilla chips & pico de gallo, peach soy yogurt, coffee w/ f.v. soy creamer
dinner: taco salad (blue corn chips, veggie chili, salsa, romaine, avocado). Sooooo good. I'd eat another one right now if I could.

Well, the birds are edible too...let's not go there.
Puffins (http://www.worldpantry.com/cgi-bin/ncommerce3/ProductDisplay?prmenbr=587770&prrfnbr=892339&pcgrfnbr=881894)from Barbara's bakery are puffy, crunchy ready-to-eat cereal; I've never had them. I always get the Shredded Spoonfuls instead.

Being vegan in France is as difficult as I thought (I'm doing a language course and living on campus).
Food I could have at the cafeteria today (meal plan):
breakfast:
orange juice, instant coffee
lunch (you can pick 5 items):
3 tiny portions of salad (each like 5 slices of cucumber or a tbsp of carrot)
1 white bread roll (you're only allowed to take one)
peach
dinner will be the same
Are they trying to starve me?
Add to the above list:
2 bananas
huge piece of baguette + mushroom paté
soya yogurt (lemon + coconut)
will also have another piece of baguette with paté, and most likely some chocolate to make up for the horrible time I've had so far.

It's a good job that you've made your own arrangements, applepie! Surely the canteen place should let you have extra salad and bread if that's all you're having? I bet the non-vegans are having something else as well?
Is it only food-wise that you're having a horrible time?

Poor applepie! How long are you going to stay there?
Seems Italy and England have spoiled you a bit, though... you wouldn't get much more stuff in Germany...
today:
spaghetti with spinach pesto
3 massive bowls of salad with rocket, lollo rosso, peanuts, chickpeas, sunflower seeds, olives, smoked tofu... fridge cleanout day :D
small bowl of red currants
some hot fried Thai rice crackers
way too much coffee + tea
