Today was not balanced at all! I'll have to eat better tomorrow to balance it out.

toasted sesame bagel with smartbalance
small ginger ale

bowl of veggie chili with half a whole wheat roll

couple handfuls of kettle corn

peach soy yogurt

water

swedish glace vanilla lolly :o (baaad breakfast!)

3 small rolls with aconbury sprouts and vegideli 'beef' slices

a few biscuits

stuffed giant tomatoes with mushrooms, sweetcorn and potatoes

another lolly (or 2 :eek: )

@pavotrouge: I don't know where you're from, but quite a few universities in Germany do offer very good vegan options. It's not too bad if you can take your own food to uni and do your own cooking otherwise, but if you're dependent on them to provide you with food for four weeks because you don't have any opportunity to cook, it's not nice.

Anyway, yesterday I had:

muesli, banana, peach + soya milk

2 breadrolls
apple, banana, peach

2 muesli bars

2 cut-up tomatoes without vinegar or oil (that's what they offered me as the veggie option instead of the bacon quiche)
quite a few slices of baguette
peach, handful of cherries, 2 strawberries, apricot

back in my room:
wholewheat bread + yeast extract
2 soya yogurts + millet flakes

yesterday (ate too much!):

coffee with soya milk
fruit & fibre cereal with rice milk

strawberry flavour soya yogurt
3 plums

2 slices of toast with blackberry jam
left-over potato salad
glass of pear and raspberry juice

2 onion bhajis, big vegetable curry with rice and a poppadom

water during the day

3 Weetabix with soy milk and a chopped banana

2 Apples, several massive strawberries

lots of green tea and water

3 cans of Co-op lemonade :rolleyes:


Been feeling pretty off today (recovering from flu :(). Don't know what i'm having for dinner yet, but i'm craving brussel sprouts- luckily we have some! :p :D

yesterday...

breakfast: grits w/ rice milk & earth balance

lunch: veggie & pasta soup, sandwich (lettuce, tomato, cucumber, shredded carrot & hummus on pita), diet coke

snack: peach soy yogurt

dinner: salad (baby romaine, broccoli, cucumber, shredded carrot, italian dressing), spaghetti tetrazzini w/ tofurkey italian sausage, one beer

Yesterday:

2 cups of coffee with vanilla soy milk.
1 organic banana (sliced) sprinkled with acai granola and vanilla soy milk.

bowl of organic cherries.

1 Pecan Pie Larabar.

Tortilla chips with organic hummus.

1 Yves spicy Italian sausage
organic baby new potatoes, quartered and lightly steamed and fried.
All organic salad: romaine, tomato, orange pepper, red onion, sesame ginger dressing.
1 glass of raspberry lemonade.

1 glass of wine.
2 choc mint Tofutti cuties
1 chocolate cookie.

but i'm craving brussel sprouts- luckily we have some! :p :D ooh, I forgot I bought brussell sprouts!


I worked the overnight last night and the morning shift this morning and I accidentally left an ives deli ham and turkey style sandwich with veganaise, lettuce and tomato in my purse overnight so I ate that for breakfast afraid of what it would be like for lunch... not that it was all that great all warm like it was for breakfast.

also had 3 shots espresso with vanilla soy.

"chicken" pilaf style mcDougalls cup and a strawberry seltzer water.

half a bottle of strawberry wine.
at least an hour nap...

a GIANT strawberry, pineapple, orange juice and soymilk smoothie now at 6pm. my day has been a bit backwards...

what shall I have with my brussell sprouts for dinner... hmmm. probably a tofu burger. whole foods brand 365 has a citrus chipotle bbq sauce that is to die. we often cut a block of tofu in half, brown them in olive oil, S&P on a skillet and eat it on a roll with that sauce and some veganaise. also onion if we had it. i think i'm going to buy an onion.

yesterday...

breakfast: cherios w/ rice milk

lunch: spaghetti tetrazzini w/ tofurkey italian sausage, coffee w/ f.v. soy creamer

dinner: chips w/ salsa & guacamole, burrito w/ grilled onion, peppers & mushrooms, refried beans, mexican rice, mango margarita

after: beers, then for a snack I wanted a peanut butter sandwich but my bf's bread had milk in it (grrrrrr), so I had angel hair pasta w/ a pb sauce made of what I could find in his pantry.

I want something else but I don't want to cook. I had made a big batch of food for myself so I wouldn't have to cook for awhile, but someone ate my food.

1 pizza roll

2 bowl red lentil dhal with rice

1 bowl penne with tomato sauce

1/2 bottle of red wine

Yeah I know a crappy day... depressed = in need of carbs :rolleyes:

I have eaten the most crappy foods today:

2 wholemeal english muffins and soya marg.
4 bags of crisps.
5 raspberry tarts.
3 big glasses of choc soya milk.
Cider (a lot)

OMG that is truly awful.:o

toast..mushrooms, a vine tomato..some tofu scramble stuff with paprika..half a tin of the emergency spaghetti hoops !! couple of veggie sausages

w/meal pitta bread..peanut butter,avocado..tomatoes, red onions..artichokes

shared a smoothie w/ bf (soy milk, frozen strawberries, raspberries, pineapple). He also had a can of veggie chili on the way to work...

lunch: yves & litelife ham/turkey on wheat, veganaise, lettuce, tomato. that was the last of our deli slices :( 1/4 bag big grab original lays. red bull. so tired...

making tofu burgers and salad now. can't avoid the stove... so hot.

I had a bloody awful eating day too because I was too tired to think about going to any effort:

2 cups of coffee with vanilla soy milk.
2 pieces of organic multigrain toast with earthbalance & organic cherry preserves.

1 organic banana.

chickpeas and chopped tomato smothered in poppyseed dressing.

1 Guru natural energy drink.

organic baked beans, Yves veggie dog and organic multigrain toast.

About to flop on the couch with a Tofutti cutie.

Went out to Brunch w/ husband, my brother & my sister in law:
- Apple Tea, Freshly Squeezed Pineapple & Orange Juice, Oatmeal cooked in Soymilk w/ Banana & Brown Sugar (was the nicest oatmeal I have ever had)
- Large Boost Juice
Went out to Indian for Husbands Birthday
- Thali Plate - Mixture of different curries, pickle, salad, potato balls, heaps of roti...they forgot to bring out the rice :rolleyes:

Amy's frozen Indian meal (veggie curry, dhal, rice)

potatoes, spinach, and broccoli in coconut curry sauce. (Made this from scratch, was pretty good. I've been making a lot of indian food recently. I think it's the best taste!)

2 mugs vanilla soymilk

Well everyone's "awful" days at least sound tasty :)

Saturday...

lunch: salad (baby romaine, cucumber, broccoli, italian dressing), spaghetti tetrazzini w/ tofurkey itatalian sausage, coffee w/ soymilk

snack: smoothie (banana, mango, kiwi)

dinner: a few bites of spinach, grilled sweet potato spears w/ ketchup, grilled golden zucchini, portobellos & onions, multigrain garlic toast, slice of pineapple

beers, then more multigrain bread for snacks

yesterday...

lunch: salad from salad bar (iceberg, spinach, green pepper, red onion, cucumber, beets, pickles, chickpeas, sunflower seeds, chinese noodles & french dressing), french fries w/ bbq sauce, diet coke

snack: leftover grilled veggies, multigrain bread, gingerale

dinner: tortilla chips w/ guac & salsa, quesadilla (black bean spread, chopped portobello & cilantro), grilled poblano stuffed w/ tomato, corn & lime salad, grilled peach & banana

during a movie: beer & a couple frozen blueberries

we've been grilling a lot since the weather is nice, but I always over do it and want to make a million things at once...

woah jambox I first thought your post was about what you ate on one day :o :D

today:

3 toasts with curry spread and tomatoes

3 onigiri (rice balls with seaweed, stuffed with cucumber)
about 1 cup red currants
2 vanilla cupcakes

1 giant serving of spaghetti aglio, olio e peperoncino
1 ciabatta roll with hummus

Oh well :rolleyes:
