I need to eat more so its great to see what you eat Aphrodite, it lets me see what a healthy vegan meal plan looks like (:

anyway, yesterday i had:

B- some kashi w/almond milk
plum
tea
L- luna bar
apple
S- few dates
some almond milk w/ protein powder (heated like hot chocolate...yummy)
D- tofu w/ soy sauce
portobello mushroom cap
steamed veggies
1/2 c. veggie soup
S- tea, some soy milk

My college has very few vegan options :(

haha thanks, I'm trying. It's just not calorically sufficient (I counted under 600 yesterday..very bad..) so I need to up it majorly. I'm trying to find ways to do that without getting stuffed. I guess there's always tofutti :)

I think vegans need to eat larger quantities of food than omnis or lacto ovo veggies because fruit and vegetables contain fewer calories and are often not so high in protein.
Today I ate cornflakes with vanilla soya milk,
I had a large salad for lunch with Udo's choice, veggie mayonnaise engevita flakes, cider vinegar and herbamare, with a soup of miso and marigold boillion,
I had a small snack of almonds and roasted channa dal,
and for tea I will have leftover chilli with brown rice.
It was made with carrots, red pepper, arame seaweed, onions, kidney beans, quinoa, carob powder, hemp flour, sweetcorn, jalapenos, green beans, tomatoes, vegetable oil and marigold stock powder.
Edit:I did eat this chilli & rice but it looked a bit small so I added a ripe avocado and a large fresh tomato and some engevita flakes after I had re-heated it.

Ha ha Foxy, I did laugh at that as it goes, yes I am not usually known for being a healthy eater - more like a human dustbin.:o:D

Brighteyed - look at herbwormwood's daily intake, that is much healthier than mine.

i dont think youre a bad eater at all aphrodite, i just know you always say things like that about yourself about how you ate healthy but will eat crap or something along those lines and i thought youd get a kick out of it. really though you eat a lot better than i do LOL. i used to be such a bad eater that i would skip everything else altogether so i could eat a whole huge bag of chips!

herbwormwood, i agree 100%!!!

BREAKFAST:

Baked beans with two wholemeal toast slices, spread with pure and vegimite. (Cut them into triangles and scooped the beans up!)

LUNCH:

Two apples

3 wholemeal rolls - jam, vegimite and one with just pure and ketchup

DINNER:

Crispy rock mock sweet chilli duck, wholemeal rice with steamed brocolli, carrots and soy sauce!

(Lots of carbs again today. Just easy when I'm busy I suppose. I complain about carbs because I sit on my arse for 12 hours a day and do hardly any if any at all exercise.)

Yeah, unfortunately it's possible, although I think I'm okay. They're *organic* frosted mini-wheats, if that's any different. Ingredients are: organic whole wheat , organic evaporated cane juice syrup, natural mixed tocopherols for freshness, reduced iron, niacinamide, zinc oxide, pyridoxine hydrochloride (vitamin b6), riboflavin (vitamin b2), thiamin hydrochloride (vitamin b1), folic acid, vitamin b12.

So yeah, I couldn't be sure without further research, but honestly I was in an unfamiliar grocery store looking for a cereal I could eat and that seemed like the best bet. Thanks for the warning though!

They arent. They contain geletin. The bf accidentally bought some a few months ago, but apparently the organic ones are ok.

Herbamare is a substitute for salt made with sea salt, herbs and spices. Google it for what it looks like and where to buy.
