Banana and 3 cups of tea (brr it is cold today)
4 hash browns, 1 veggie sausage, 2 grilled tomatoes and 2 w/m toast

Packet of ready salted crisps

Sweetcorn, peas and greens in chilli and soya cream with noodles:)

Also I took 6 Brewers Yeast tablets
(I read on net they can be good for getting rid of cold sores, it said peanuts may cause them which is typical as I ordered a big bag of peanuts in my shopping last time.)

L-lysine pills are EXCELLENT. They work better than my prescription cold sore medicine. Take 1-2 500mg pills when you feel a cold sore coming and one with every meal once you have one.

Yes Tigerlily I might get some lysine tablets tomorrow actually. :)

The article I read said lysine was in some food but another amino acid arginine competes with it for absorption in the intestines, so the less arginine there is in the diet, the more lysine is absorbed.
Apparently chocolate, peanuts, and almonds all contain arginine so I will lay off them for a while as well.

I went on a team development day today with my office team and the hostel team as well, to try and destress and bring us together etc etc etc...

Lunch was thrown in with this, and one of the bosses got in contact with them last week with the different dietary requirements - religious reasons, veggies and one vegan (moi!).

For my lunch today I was served with some lettuce between two slices of bread  Mmmm, filling! Bearing in mind that there was so much food for the other people that most went to waste. That's a lot of dead animals that ended up in the bin.... grumble, grumble, grumble...

Back home now though, so going to find something a little more substantial for my dinner me thinks. Need some fluffing wine too I think!

That is really irritating Frosty - Salad veg, roasted veg, houmous, olives, avocado, get a jar of PB or jam even! - is it so difficult for them to make a blinking vegan sandwich?

That was the annoying thing - it's not that hard, and it was a 'catering' company apparently. The rest of them had a huge buffet to choose from as well. Gah!

Oh well, at least I know what I can eat, and there is a huge lovely pie that I have just put together and is browning away nicely in the oven right now :) so soon I shall be eating that.

Did it turn out good jjdaiquiri? I didnt realise you could chuck loads of stuff in a rice cooker, sounds great , i must try it at my mums.
Today i've had a fake bacon and fried mushroom roll with ketchup, followed by a cup of darjeeling and homemade blueberry muffin.
I will try to eat more healthily later, but the cold makes me crave stodge

Two hashbrowns, grilled tomatos, baked beans and two slices of wholemeal toast

LUNCH:

Green lentils in vegetable stock with fried onions and soy sauce.
Pumkin seed bread dipped into it....spread with pure.

DINNER:

Dinner is going to be something quick and snack like....simply because I am going straight from this 12hour shift to another 4 hour shift somewhere else without a break in between. Hopefully grab a sandwich at home...but all the bread....noooooooooooooooooooooo:eek:

how do you make creamed corn, jamboxrock?

It's from a can :) You could probably simulate it by whizzing up some cork kernels in a blender, but I wouldn't guarantee it.
