Yum. Falafel is my second favourite (guess what my favourite is) food, especially with tahini and super hot chili sauce. Londoners that haven't checked out Maoz on Old Compton Street (they have branches in other countries too: http://www.maozveg.com/) are advised to do so as they do wonderful Falafels and fries and a great salad bar including grilled cauliflower. *drools*

b: vegan cinnamon roll, black tea with sugar & Silk
l: Mountain Stew (from "Vegetarian Times Cookbook") with eggplant added, water, a bread stick (from Olive Garden--no butter), water, then a "homemade" (Cherrybrook Kitchen mix) fudge brownie:p
s: one Amy's samosa, water; then a homemade smoothie consisting of Bolthouse farms vanilla chai tea, bananas, Whole Soy & Co. lemon yogurt, and figs
later on...probably a salad with miso ginger dressing and brocoli, cauliflower, and carrots

I'm a bit surprised by how little some of you eat...of course, I've been told that I eat quite a bit and quite often:o

You wont be disappointed. It's good value too at around 5 pounds for a big meal which for Central London is ace. It's open late too which is great for post-gig sustenance.

Breakfast: Muesli, oatmilk and coffee. A banana after I'd cycled to work.
Snacks: Oat cakes and peanut butter, another banana.
Lunch: Salad, mixed vegetable crisps and pickled onions.
Dinner: Way too much bean stew (wont be moving too far for a while :D) and olive ciabattis.

Will probably find some room for some Swedish Glace once the beans have settled a bit.

I'm a bit surprised by how little some of you eat...

Me too. I am assuming some people post during the day and have not finished their eating.
Maybe they have not yet eaten their evening meal.
It would be nice to see people's entire day so new vegans would have a better idea of what more experienced vegans are eating.
But the point of this thread is "What did you eat today" not "Post your entire intake for today after you have finished eating". People can post whatever they want to in it.
Some people post yesterday's food so it is a complete day, others include food they plan to eat the rest of the day.

Lunch-
bruschetta & crackers
split pea soup
Dinner-
bit o' salad
veggie sushi rolls

bit o' left over curry
Late snack-

Parsnip crisps:
Slice parsnips into thin rings and bake or roast in the oven until crispy. You can coat them in oil or do them dry. Beetroot and carrot can be done this way too.

I'm not jambox, but she made the candy corn herself, so maybe she'd be so nice to share the recipe.

I wish it was my recipe, but I am definitely not that clever. It's here: http://theurbanhousewife.blogspot.com/2007/09/homemade-vegan-candy-corn-happy.html

A bunch of people over at theppk.com have made them with varying levels of success. Mine came out pretty well for a first try, although instead of pure corn syrup I used a corn/cane mix, so my white wasn't very white and they had kind of a maply flavor. She posted some additional tips recently on the blog too. Good luck!
