Today I had:

can of Amy's chili, and some tortillas

B - 2 Wasa crisp crackers with Earth Balance, avacado, tomatoes and cucumber. 2 cups of coffee with Silk creamer.

L - 2 slices of hazelnut cranberry bread with Veganaise, tomatoes and peppers. 1 red apple.

S - Pineapple and 1 apple.

D - Black bean chili and Spanish rice.

Drinks - Hot soy chocolate (mint flavour) with soy whip cream!:) Water.

I thought carbs help the absorbsion of protein? :confused:


I'm not sure but your only meant to have protein and vegetables or carbohydrates and vegetables, fruit always on its own, and melon on its ownown, liquid always 30 minutes or before eating.

Actually, after reading the book, I don't think it matters so much, because she considers proteinn all things none vegans eat...so I guess as long as you don't eat nuts or something. :confused:

Breakfast

200ml Apple and Mango Juice (not from concentrate)

Lunch (15:30) - Half a tin of Chick Pea Dahl with Brown Rice

Dinner (18:00) - Shepards Pie (soya mince, onion, tomato, vegetable stock, garlic, black pepper, sweet potato, mushroom, broccoli, carrots and peas)

Snack/Drink

3 packets of Ready Salted Crisps and Houmous :o

Green Tea and Soya Milk

Green Grapes

8 vanilla biscuits

yesterdays eats:
bfast: oatmeal, banana
lunch: 2 pieces falafel dipped in ketchup; whole wheat bagel w/ vegan "turkey" salad (from whole foods)
snack: steamed vanilla soy milk w/ cinnamon
snack: clif bar
dinner: huge salad w/ veggies and beans, 1 cup brown rice
snack:apple

yesterday...

breakfast: graham cereal w/ almond milk & ground flax

lunch: wheat wrap w/ red pepper hummus, lettuce, tomato, avocado, green pepper, cucumber, shredded carrot & sprouts, and a banana

snack: cup of chocolate almond milk and an apple

dinner: black soy bean spaghetti w/ peanut sauce & veggies (onion, broccoli, green beans, red pepper & mushrooms from frozen). this was surprisingly good...the spaghetti is made just from black soy beans and is really chewy, but once I got used to the texture I liked it a lot.

dessert: two hint of mint cookies and a beer

snack: two pieces of wheat bread and half a pb&j

oats, 2 kiwi fruit + soya yogurt

2 wholemeal pitta breads stuffed with hummus, lettuce, tomatoes + sweetcorn
2 carrots
yellow pepper

coffee + soya milk
rice cake + orange chocolate spread
apple

sautéed potatoes and butternut squash, served with soya yogurt with lots of herbs mixed in
probably some grapes to come later

Breakfast -weetabix-esque cereal and soya milk, tea
Lunch -caramel flavour soya yoghurt, bowl of; rice, red kidney beans and tomatoes in spicy tomato sauce.
Dinner -a big bowl of vegetable soup and the rest of the amy's sliced "sausage".

Breakfast: Natural Peanut butter and cherry preserves w/banana sandwich
Lunch: Homemade Spinach pocket, some flat bread, hummos, and hot peppers
Dinner: Left over pasta I made last night.. Delicious!

veggie chicken on sprouted whole wheat bread with shredded carrot, hummus, and slice of vegan mozzarella

sweet potatos fries I made (baked)

bowl of pasta with nutritional yeast, vegan beef, garlic powder, basil, and a melted slice of vegan mozzarella.

iced tea and water
(I'm trying to cut out iced tea and drink only water.. empty sugar calories are the last thing I need right now)

today:

lunch:
-1 small taco
-some slushee steev got me
dinner:
-brown rice pasta and garlic toast

ill probably also have some chips as a snack before bed.

Today:

1 cup of coffee with Silk creamer.

2 slices of wholewheat toast with Earthbalance and Strawberry & Grand Manier Jam.

1 cup of marinated 3 bean salad to which I added 1 teaspoon of agave nectar.

1 Optimum Energy Bar (peanut butter flavour).

1 cup of sugary peach juice (after blood donation).

1 vegan BLT (wholewheat bread, 4 slices of vegan bacon, vegan mayo, Tofutti cheese slice, tomato slices, organic mixed leaves).

30g tortilla chips on the side.

1 cup of Echinacea tea.

5 vegan shortbread cookies.

L - 1 Lära bar.

S - Pineapple slices and 1 orange. Handful of walnuts, green olives.

D - Avacado sandwich with tomatoes.

Late night "snack" - A bowl of musli with soymilk.

-Pasta with EB and nut. yeast
- few chunks of teriaki tofu
-veggies

snack:
-Plain soy yogurt
-pretzels

Dinner:
-Salad
-Falafel and hummus
-strawberry/banana/soymilk smoothie

Snack:
Graham crackers

I've been there so much lately, it's my new haunt, i had been there a few times before, but the last few months i'v been going there like once a fortnight or so, for my birthday my dad bought me a whole chocolate royale cake!! so good, couldn't finish it all before it started to dry out though, haha, probably a good thing in reality, glad to see you back stickydate, we've missed you!:)

Hey I'm new and just wanted to contribute to this thread...I think it's a great idea! I've already skimmed through it and gotten some meal ideas =)

B: hot cereal with walnuts and raisins, a banana
S: an apple and grapes
D: hummus and veggie wrap and brown rice with mango salsa
S: coffee with soy milk and grapes

yesterday...

breakfast: smoothie - banana, blueberries and almond milk

lunch: leftover black soy bean pasta w/ peanut sauce & veggies, dry graham cereal

first dinner: veggie burger on wheat toast w/ nayonnaise, bbq sauce, pickles & bacos, a banana

second dinner: stuffed grape leaves, spinach pie w/ hummus, and a few of the boyfriend's french fries

dessert: two pumpkin beers

Oooh, finally gained the courage to post on this thread :D

Hot water with fresh lemon juice
1 mug of Tetley green tea

B - 2 Organic Weetabix with soy milk, with added sunflower & pumpkin seeds, raisins, 2 chopped almonds & a brazil nut. I heated it all up too :p

2 cups fresh ground coffee, black

L - Warm pita bread with hummus
2 mini vine leaves stuffed with rice & coated with a little olive oil
Tiny salad of lettuce, chopped tomato, red pepper & a few black olives

1 cup of Nescafe, black

S - Organic Royal Gala apple

1 mug of organic nettle tea (drinking at the moment)

Plan for later:

D - Steamed carrots, broccoli & cauliflower
Grilled sandwich: brown bread, organic tofu, cucumber, tomato puree

1 mug peppermint tea
... & maybe more tea?
