I had some of that in Spain about 3 years back, fantastic stuff, it's a bit like eating coal but really addictive, unfortunately when I bought it it had milk in it though.

Are you sure? As far as I know, the Lindt 99% has always been without milk. Well, basically it's nothing but cocoa. Maybe you had a different brand?

1% of it has to be something else, and part of that 1% was definately milk (or at least a milk product), I remember well because it was not long after I became vegan so I ended up leaving most of it when I realised. They probably do different recipes for each country or it's changed over the years.

L - was sick to my stomach at work, and hadn't eaten, so I resorted to a clif builder's bar and an Amy's stir fry cooked....in the microwave! *duh duh duuh!*

I haven't eaten microwaves food for four years. I remembered why (apart from the health issues). It tasted HORRIBLE. I've had it made in the over many times, but this time is was rubbery and hard and gross. Later, 25 buttons brought me aporper lunch.

2nd L - proper stirfry with whole wheat organic noodles, organic veggies (carrots, broccoli, corn, peppers, lima beans), and crumpled up expired organic veggie burgers

S - builder's bar, sparkling apple juice, some saltines (for stomach), and a bite of papaya strips

D - left over stir fry

2nd D - day before grocery day medley; steamed left over organic produce (zicchini, cucumber, broccoli, bell pepper, potato) and organic brown rice.

lots of eating out yesterday for my dad's birthday, so:

b- two wholemeal toast with raspberry jam

l - salad at the tate consisting of:
sliced beetroot, watercress, green beans, and soemthing else but i can't remember. possible gem lettuce. sounds basic, but was actually really tasty (and quite large, too).

snack - um...chips. i knew where we were going in the evening and thought i'd better stock up!

d - gem lettuce and walnut salad to start. chopped tasty tomatoes, fennel and steamed spinach for main (too small, see below for comment) and pinapple with pomegrante parfait for dessert.

the restaurant for dinner was called J Sheeky, in covent garden. it's a fish restaurant owned by the same group that own the Ivy. they do have a veg and vegan menu, however the vegan options (as you can see, apart from dessert, which was lovely) are very lacking in...well, anything. it's weird, because the vegetarian options are really quite substantial.

it's the second time i've been there (tis my dad's favourite restaurant), and i'm thinking of writing them an email, just saying i'm grateful that they offer options, but really they are not nutritious enough and wildly overpriced. what do people think?

It does sound a tad stingy there Amanda. No rice, pasta, potatoes or anything. That would not fill me up at all but then I'm greedy.;)

So far today I have had:

Two wholemeal toast with two mashed bananas on top
Green tea
Some unsalted cashew nuts
Bowl of homemade leek and potato soup

I think with Lindt it's a "may contain traces" jobby. And we've been through the fact that you don't eat that kind of thing before.

Breakfast - Organic tomato soup with whole wheat vegetable noodles, and while taht was cooking, a tablespoon of organic peanut butter.

Lunch - Homemade vegan enchilads.

I haven't had dinner yet, but will have corn on the cob and also steamed vegetables - broccoli, cauliflower, and carrots, and pour a homemade balsamic nama shoyu sauce over them. Maybe mashed potatoes too. But, probably not, because that sounds like a lot.

EDIT: I just realized that I don't have any corn on the cob left, and my whole bag of potatoes has gone bag... *sighs* So, I guess it shall be steamed veggies and spaghetti marinara.
