So far:

Breakfast: 2 Shredded Wheats covered with a smoothie made of 1 banana, 1 plum and a scoop of protein powder to thicken it (made out of peas!!!)

Morning snack: Half a cinnamon bagel (saving the other half for the afternoon)

Lunch: Cashew nut and mixed veggie stir-fry with brown rice

Also had a couple of cups of the best herbal tea I've ever had - new brand I've not tried before called Yogi Tea. They do several flavours and the one I tried was the Egytian blend. I'd recommend this to anyone trying to give up sugar in their tea as it has a lot of cinnamon in it which makes for a really naturally sweet aftertaste!

Breakfast: Smoothie - hemp protein, flaxseed, mango, strawberries. 2 cups of coffee with agave nectar.

Snack: Cucumber and celery with hummus.

Lunch: Amy's Black Bean Vegetable soup. Steamed broccoli with guacamole, an apple. Ginger melon rooibos tea.

Snack: Brown rice pudding made with unsweetened vanilla almond milk, cinnamon and agave.

Dinner: Salad - mixed greens, red onion, yellow pepper, tomato, onion sprouts, walnuts, flaxseed oil and balsamic vinegar.

Trying gluten, peanut and soy-free :) [somewhat following Brendan Brazier's Thrive Diet, except I still can't kick the caffiene habit].
I may have miso, tempeh or oats on occasion.

Trying to be healthier since summer is coming and people will be able to see my body again soon! It was nearly 70F degrees today!

yerba mate
blackcurrent, ginseng, vanilla tea

two black organic, fair trade coffees

quinoa "salad" - w/ tomatoes, cilantro, and spices
edamame in pods
1/2 grapefruit

two iced coffees
banana

will have a salad later w/ red leaf romaine, tomato, mushrooms, and garbanzo beans w/ mustard dressing

homemade bbq seitan
chick pea noodle soup with carrots and tomatoes

will have the leftovers for lunch.
not sure about dinner.

in an attempt to offset horrific eating today, just made a baked bean bake. beans, green pepper, tabasco, onion, garlic, tomatoes, covered with bread bread crumbs, under the grill.

had it with some quinoa too.

jamboxrock, when your cat's pic started loading I was stunned at the similarity. He is a handsome boy! Mine is a girl and she will always be tiny as her growth was stunted from the malnourished/neglected condition we rescued her from.

Skylark, thanks for the granola link. I will check it out.

Breakfast: 2 slices of whole wheat toast with strawberry pecan jam, 6 oz of mixed berry soy yogert with 1/4 of a cup apple cinnamon granola.

Snack: 2 hard pretzels, 1 tablespoon of tomato basil hummus.


Lunch: Missed it.


Dinner: 1 cup of rice, 1 cup of tomato gravy (tomato sauce with diced tomatoes, Oil and seasonings). half a small white eggplant fried, 1 soy sausage.

Snack: An iced espresso latte (6 shots) with vegan caramel sauce made specially for me by a kind vegan barista. :D

Baked beans on three wholemeal slices of toast :eek:

LUNCH:

A Jamaican vegetable pasty

DINNER:

Cabbage, carrot, bean sprout, pepper, onion, kale and rice noodle - black bean stirfry.

SNACK:

Some lightly salted peanuts and cashew nuts

(Good job I spent four hours in the gym yesterday ay?)

Sounds like a yummy day veganwitch, especially that donut!! :D

Today:

2 cups of coffee with vanilla soy milk.
2 maple cinnamon waffles with maple syrup.
1 Tofurkey breakfast sausage.

10 plain crackers with squares of Sheese on top :D

1 cup African Nectar tea.
3 raspberry fig bars.

Organic basmati rice.
Faux chicken strips in a lemon herb rub.
Broccoli stalks and flowers, stir fried in lime juice & garlic.

1 almond dessert tofu, with fresh organic blueberries.

1 Whistler's Own Bakeshop Skookum Bar.

4 plain crackers with squares of Sheese on top.

Yeast extract on a wholemeal seeded bagel

Homemade orange juice

LUNCH:

Left over stirfy from yesterday

DINNER:

Roasted brocolli, potatoes, onion, pepper, butternut squash and courgette covered in homemade "cheese" sauce!

SNACK:

About ten strawberries covered in chocolate sauce and squirty cream
