This is what the "sweet hearts" by NECCO are made of;

The ingredients of a heart are 90 percent sugar, corn syrup, gelatin, gums and artificial colors and flavorings.

I don't know what other brands make them out of...

Anyway, Here's what I ate today;

Breakfast: 2 slices of whole wheat toast, One with with red pepper hummus one with garlic hummus, A chocolate walnut raw bar thingy.

Lunch: A 'peachs and cream' smoothie. 1 cup of light vanilla soy milk, 1/4 cup of orange juice, 1 cup of peachs, not quite a 1/2 cup of vanilla soy yogert, 1/4 cup of protein powder(1/3 of a serving).

Dinner: 3 eggless eggrolls with shoyu.

Snack: An iced espresso (6 shots) with soy milk and an apple Lara bar.

Today was alright. I probably ate a little too much but all and all I think I did okay.

Don't beat yourself up Astrid. You weren't to know. As you say, we live and learn. (((HUGS)))

Veganwitch, here's the link to the icewine tea that I drink:
http://www.metrotea.com/icewine.html
It's quite a strong, flavourful tea. If I'm drinking it in the evening, I only steep it for a minute or so. I can't help but think that because of it's strong flavour, it might also be high in caffeine. Sorry - that's probably of no help to you, since you're avoiding caffeine right now.

Today:

2 cups of coffee with vanilla soy milk.
2 Tofurkey breakfast sausages with maple syrup.
2 maple cinnamon waffles.

1 toasted sandwich: rosemary & olive oil bread, vegan mayo & Tofurkey italian deli slices.
1 New York flatbread with Tofutti french onion cream cheese.
1 organic Orin apple.

12 pieces of sushi (2 rolls) - 1 roll was veggie and avocado, the other roll was cucumber & avocado. Had it with wasabi, soy sauce & pickled ginger.
2 cups of green tea.

About to have a piece of apple pie with vanilla soy icecream.
And a cup of icewine tea :)

OMG - Maple tea sounds like my kinda thing! I've never seen maple tea on the shelves anywhere.....which is strange seeing I live in Canada. I should take a look at some of the tourist shops - those kind of places will most likely have it. The icewine tea came from a local wine store.

Today:

2 cups of coffee with vanilla soy milk.
1 bowl Peanut Butter Puffins (breakfast cereal) with vanilla soy milk.
1 Chinese style sticky rice ball with mung bean filling.

1 cup of coffee with vanilla soy milk.
Another Chinese style sticky rice ball - this one had red bean filling.

In my bento:
Amy's medium chili with vegetables.
2 herb roasted potatoes (4 halves).
Tofutti sour cream.
pieces of organic cara cara orange and pieces of organic sweet lime.

4 Vietnamese style rice paper rolls with peanut sauce.

1 cup of icewine tea.
The last Chinese style ricky rice ball - it had lotus paste filling.

I first found the maple tea in Nova Scotia in a lighthouse gift shop! So I bet you'll find it Roxy. The metro company doesn't sell to individuals directly which kind of stinks. But the last time I got maple tea I just ordered it off of Amazon. If you are interested they also make a chocolate mint tea ;)

Yesterday:

Nachos! I have never had them before. Obviously I have had tortillia chips, but not with the cheesy part. A shame Nacho Cheezly bakes rather than melts, but with the pinto/tomato sauce it worked.

Oh no, that sounds awful. I don't think I'd like that at all! :D;):D

I'd LOVE to try that! Maybe I should write to them and see who retails the maple tea and the choc mint tea in my area.
