in a lot of touristy places in the med you can get them but they're frozen. When I was a kid we lived in ireland and the only time we had crumpets was if we went to england and stocked up or if someone visited us and we stocked up, but then we went to majorca and guess what they had in the back of a freezer in the supermarket?
warburton's crumpets, this is apparently quite common.

Unfortunately there's not much call for crumpets on the tiny island I live on :( I might find some on the next island which is touristy or maybe I'll just have to see if I can make some myself.
Crumpets and potato cakes - proper comfort food (can you tell I'm northern??)

easily (i am one of those strange people from bolton) crumpets are damn tricky to make though, often end up like scotch ones.

Mmm. Your day sounds lovely! I haven't had a great one today.

I've had -

no breakfast :(
thai curry and rice, cup of tea
cup of tea and banana after work
Oven chips, hummous, chicken-less nuggets, salad
Orange juice

I might have some more tea and a piece of millionaire shortbread, and a kiwi fruit so I don't feel so unhealthy!

I love snow! I wish it was snowing here, especially as anything can happen on a snow day and I might actually have a chance of passing my degree!

My day wasn't great either, 2 trek bars and 2 nakd nibbles over the course of the morning and afternoon snacks. lunch was a rosted vegetable baguatte as they had no hummus left, I was heartbroken. and then dinner was mushroom soup followed by another nakd nibble. Feel like I've eaten waaaaay too much, so won't have a snack this evening, nothing until tomorrow now.

That isn't too much.

I've just eaten all the things I said I would, with a piece of chocolate cake too :o I know, I know. I'll be healthy tomorrow.

2 more slices rye bread, again with hummus, while waiting for the water to boil
