porridge, apple + raisins

olive ciabatta roll with olive spread + tomato slices
salad (radicchio, tomatoes, yellow pepper, cucumber, celery, sunflower seeds)

coffee + soya milk
2 chocolate biscuits
3 tangerines

millet with butternut squash, carrots, pine nuts + sage
steamed brussels sprouts

Might have some chocolate later as I've got to study for another few hours.

Ate loads today, and quite a healthy day too...

Croissant, soya cappuccino

Potato and onion soup, sandwich with hummus, grated carrot, tomato and fresh ginger, apple, persimmon

Snack of hazlenuts, sultanas and a banana

Dinner was black bean chilli with guacamole, nacho chips and soya yogurt,
steamed brussel sprouts and chard dressed with olive oil and lemon juice

At my supermarket, it's not with the other conventional cereals. It's in with the "specialty"/"natural foods" section.

It's not there at my grocery store, but maybe the health food store would have it. It sounds good. Thanks!

Pavotrouge, I hope you are feeling better!

Breakfast:
-Oatmeal with soymilk
-Banana with PB

Lunch:
-Black beans over kasha
-Raw baby carrots, cucumbers, and red pepper strips
-Trail mix of raisins, soy nutes, and peanuts

Dinner:
-Salad (roamine lettuce, cucumber, red peppers, baby carrots, and creamy veggie dressing)
-Whole wheat spagetti with nutritional yeast and TVP cooked in tomato sauce on top
Dessert: Cool Mint Cliff Bar (it tasted just like a Girl Scout cookie :p )

Later: Maybe some popcorn or a pear

hmm yum! i loovee nutritional yeast. melted on any type of carb is amazing.

About that cream of rice cereal, I've bought one made by Lundberg. It's very tasty and creamy!!

Today:

2 cups of coffee with Silk creamer.

1/2 cup baked beans with
2 slices of Multigrain toast with Earthbalance.

Six inch veggie sub on Italian with sweet onion sauce from Subway with
small bag of chips
pop

Home made lettuce wraps: Stirfried some Yves ground veggie "chicken" with finely chopped mushrooms, red pepper, red onion and soy sauce then wrapped it all up in romaine leaves and dipped it in a sauce made of soy sauce, white vinegar, warm water and a little sugar.

2 "chicken" style vegan tacquitos with the sauce left over from the lettuce wraps.

About to have a cup of Cinnamon Spice tea and a couple of pieces of chocolate.

Reading people's menus here I'm so impressed by how HEALTHY and balanced everyone seems to be eating. Vegans MUST be healthier than the average population....

B - 2 slices multigrain toasts with Earth Balance (margarine) and apricot jam. 2 cups of coffee with Silk creamer.

L - Ethiopian vegetarian combo: Yellow and red split pea stew, collard greens, cabbage, carrots and a small salad. Injera ("spunge" bread).

D - Goucamole with nachos. 1 madarin and a small piece of dark chocolate.:)

breakfast: two pieces of wheat toast, one w/ earth balance & cinnamon sugar, the other w/ peanut butter & apple butter

lunch: hummus, cucumber & bell pepper lettuce wraps, stuffed grape leaves, tabouleh

snack: popcorn

snack: an apple & a banana

dinner: lemon garlic broccoli, roasted vegetable & soy ricotta ravioli w/ garden marinara

2 clementines

Mid-day: chocolate cocunut chew Larabar

Dinner: rissotto with squash and cooked spinach
small mixed green salad with carrots, tomatoes, onions, balsamic vinegar and olive oil

I have half a pomegranet in the fridge but I've eaten so much pomegranet lately I don't think I'll have it tonight =/ maybe I'll just have another clementine

lunch:
-bowl of cooked peas and carrots w/ v. butter, a dash of sea salt and pepper
-cup of green tea
-"ice capp" (2 cups soy milk, few splashes of coffee, tsp sugar, and tsp vanilla)
dinner:
-bowl of baked beans w/ nutritional yeast mixed in
snack:
-1/4 cup of sunflower seeds and maybe some canned peaches

ive also been drinking alot of lemon water throughout the day

toasted sandwich: cheezly cheddar with cranberries and ketchup

fruit salad: kiwi, melon pieces, orange piece, few pieces of mango

fruit and nut muesli with a chopped banana and soy milk~ warmed

drinks: green tea x2, peppermint tea x1, hot water with lemon, water!

about to have another peppermint tea :D

I ate kind of badly today...

Breakfast:
-Cream of wheat made with soymilk, with a little brown sugar
-Pear

Snack:
-Apple
-small spoonful of PB

Lunch:
-Homemade fried brown rice with tofu (tofu, brown rice, "oriental blend" veggies, canola and sesame oils)(Yum!)
-Apple

Snack:
-Plain soy yogurt with stevia with pumpkin flax seed granola on top

Dinner:
-Amy's California veggie burger with ketchup (no bun)
-Mix of corn, peas, and edamame (mostly corn)
-Salad (romaine lettuce and baby carrots)
Dessert: Chocolate Brownie Z-Bar

I guess it wasn't that bad, but I had a lot more fat than usual. Oh, well, we all have good days and not-so-good days, right? ;)

Your day sound perfect, VG! It might just look like a lot but it's all small, frequent amounts of healthy food. :)

I wish I could say my day was the same. :rolleyes: LOL.

Today:

2 cups of coffee with Silk creamer.

1 toasted blueberry bagel with Tofutti cream cheese and Raspberry & Champagne jam.

1 chocolate coconut Lara bar.

1 six inch veggie sub with sweet onion sauce from Subway, to which I added a cold (cooked) Yves garden patty.

Home-made sald: stirfried some Yves ground veggie "chicken" with strips of organic carrot, organic red pepper, red onion, garlic and low sodium soy sauce. Put it on a bed of organic, shredded romaine and topped with with some organic miso ginger dressing.

1 piece of herbed nan bread.

1 glass of red wine.

2 pieces of chocolate.

I had a bowl of organic cornflakes and a banana for breakfast, topped with divine chocolate powder and fortified soya milk. And a pot of tea
For lunch I had 2 rice cakes topped with olive spread, and a spread called Toscana? Also 2 rice cakes topped with olive spread and mashed banana, and some seaweed snacks. And a mug of tea.
For dinner I have made a chilli.
It contains kidney beans, cooking apple, sunflower oil, garlic, spices, carob powder, hemp flour, barley, red lentils, garlic and chilli pickle, chilli of course, carrots, sweetcorn, texturised vegetable protein, apricot spread and vinegar, marigold stock powder, a tin of organic tomatoes.
We will have it with brown rice later.

breakfast: hot five grain cereal w/ raisins, brown sugar, & soymilk

lunch: hummus tabouleh sandwich (on wheat toast w/ lettuce), cucumber, carrot & bell pepper w/ soy herb dressing, raisin pecan spice cake

snack: pecans & a banana

dinner: Amy's Thai stirfry (tofu, veggies, sauce & jasmine rice)

after work: a beer

snack/dinner/not sure yet: raw carrot and beansprout salad with sesame oil and soy sauce dressing, topped with sunflower seeds

Hi..I'm doing my first main forum-y contribution :D

For yesterday I guess as it's early Sunday now and I'm about to go snuggle down in bed. So..

brekkie was 2 apples and a punnet of raspberries..later had a cranberry, ginger and apple juice from the bar in town..and a big bag of roast chestnuts.

tea was a huge dollop of lentil glop, mushroom risotto, raw spinach and rocket and just recently i scoffed 5 dates and 4 brazil nuts washed down with my first ever glass of soya milk..alpro stuff..feel like i'm doing okay for a newbie!

This 'what did you eat today' thread is ace!

You're doing great for a newbie! My first week or so of veganism I lived off veggie burgers, peanut butter sandwiches, and oatmeal. :p Hahaha.

My day:

Rice Krispies cereal with soy milk

Coffee with soy milk

Salad (romaine, parsley, tomato, red pepper, green pepper, garlic) with olive oil, apple cider vinegar, salt+pepper, eaten with some pita bread

Cup of chocolate soy milk

Mushrooms and onions, sauteed in olive oil with cumin and soy sauce

2 small manaeesh (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Manaeesh)

10 black olives

Mug of Koala Crisp cereal with soy milk

Cup of tea

Another glass of chocolate soy milk

1 more manaeesh

Mmmmm those manaeesh look and sound yummy! Just the thing for a cold winter day.

Today:

2 cups of coffee with Silk creamer.

1/2 cup baked beans with
2 slices multigrain toast with Earthbalance.

1 organic banana.

1 six inch veggie sub with sweet onion sauce from Subway, to which I added my own Yves garden veggie patty.

2 vegan hotdogs which I had a craving for :D (sesame hot dog buns, Yves veggie dogs, half a slice of tofutti mozarella in each bun, mustard pickles, ketchup.

About to have a cup of Cinnamon Spice tea and some chocolate.
