Like me yesterday... 4:30 am is too early! Did you have to be up for something? Or just had insomnia like I do?

No, I just woke up early. I used to suffer from insomnia but it has been better after taking melatonin but I sometimes forget to take it.:rollseyes_ani:

Kitteh, now I want a tostada!


First time I've had one! I was at the shops and saw gfree corn tortillas and the instructions were on the back so I had one two nights in a row, yum! I just hope the pack lasts in the fridge so I can have a few more!

B: bluebs, narna, tea
M: toasted rice bread w/ pb & rasp. jam
L: salad w/ lett, tom, cuc, boiled potatoes, oil-free italian dressing, water
A: spearole tea, vanilla aribar, water
D: rice paper rolls w/ carrot, lett, cuc, tom & sweet chilli sauce, hummus & rice crackers, water

Hope you get more sleep tonight BC. I've had a really hungry day today.

Breakfast - rooibosch chai tea and an apple (at about 6.15) and tea and porridge (at about 8.15)
Break - cup of tea and about 4 hobnobs
Lunch - shepherd's pie with peas, then I was still hungry and had another apple, some sesame snaps and a little nakd bar (the chocolatey one). 2 cups of tea.
After work - glass of cola at my friend's house...only just remembered that I was supposed to have given up caffeine for New Year. Oopsy.
Dinner - Spaghetti bolognese, green beans, vanilla rooibosch tea.

And when I get hungry in about an hour :rolleyes:, I think I'll have a couple of bananas with some ice cream and chocolate sprinkles. Possibly with a cup of cocoa :)

Breakfast - 2x alpro yoghurt
Lunch - Tofu tikka masala with rice, a rice crackle chocolate bar
After school treat - Porn star martini
Dinner - Sausage & cider casserole with potato things

I'm fairly sure I ate some cookies and crisps too :)

Breakfast: fruit juice and a slice of home made dates and dry figs cake

Lunch: - a piadina (a bit like Indian bread) with mixed salad and a spread of tofu pate with herbs (homemade)

- a slice of homemade blueberry pie

Dinner - a lot of chips and 2 slices of home made bread with black olives
- more fruit juice

Do you think that's bad in terms of protein?
I still dont quite understand how to get them right daily.
So far I judge by how I feel and i feel good.
but i need to go figure out the difference between calories and proteins once and for all!!

a load of crap -

1/2 slice thick white toast with pure marg
2 doughnuts

then -

a small lentil/spinach/tomato/potato pie
green cabbage

later, more crap -

5 digestive biscuits
packet of crisps (*damn*)

Today:

1 cup of coffee with vanilla soy milk.

2 pieces of apple.

1 cinnamon raisin bagel with Tofutti cream cheese, cranberry sauce and Tofurkey deli slices.

Leftover home-made Hobo Casserole.

Later I'm going to have a piece of cherry pie with vanilla soy icecream.

Today wasn't a very healthy day at all..lol I almost missed my bus and hence my appointment. Do you think if I make a PB sandwich (no jam), and put it in the fridge overnight, will it keep? (Keep in mind that I need to put the PB sandwich in a bag and take it with me to an appointment to eat maybe around noon.) I don't see myself having the time to pack lunch and then get outside in time for an appointment Thursday...

Mixed berry soy yogurt
1/2 naked juice
chocolate muffin

4 spring rolls

brown rice
quinoa
vegetable mixture in red sauce

Sure, I think a PB sandwich will last a few hours. It's not like it's summer and really hot out or anything.

I'm not so hungry today, all I have had for breakfast is a veggie bacon sandwich, one half with tomato sauce and the other half with brown sauce.

I'm going to make a roast dinner tonight - veggie sausages, roast potatoes, broccoli, carrots, peas, sweetcorn, stuffing and gravy.

I will probably have cereal and fruit (and crisps) until then.

What did you have in your smoothie?

A pear, an apple, 2 bananas and spinach. My smoothies never change much, 2 banana, spinach and either 2 apple or 2 pears or 1 and 1.

I ate tostadas a LOT as a kid, mom would put all the components on the table and we'd build our own. Good stuff.

yesterday...

breakfast: two gf waffles w/ pb & strawberry jelly, earl grey tea

snack: banana

lunch: white bean & leek cassoulet, steamed kale w/ nut. yeast, a pear

snack: key lime soy yogurt

dinner: chips & salsa, gigantic burrito w/ rice, beans, zucchini, frozen veg. mix, guac, enchilada sauce & hot sauce, one beer

Breakfast Smoothie: 1/2 tub blueberries, 2 bananas and rice milk
Lunch: Ol' Smokey (Tofu, Chili Jam & Salad) sandwich, Sojasun vegan yogurt, mixed nuts/seeds
Dinner: jacket spud & broccoli (stir-fried with soy sauce & garlic)

Everyone's food on here looks exciting! Yay for vegan :)

lunch i had quinoa and beans with cantaloup... okay... and a double chocolate chip cookie!
dinner... i'm still thinking!!

Really bad day:

Breakfast: digestive biscuits
Lunch jacket with cheezley
Dinner: potato wedges and we ordered pizza.

No veggies, must make up for it tomorrow.

Then also went out for dinner hehe, and had veggie haggis and tatties with the tastiest creamy sauce... was so good!

Water throughout the day.

So full now! Oops. I'll have a better day tomorrow... in my defense I wasnt planning on going for food twice today! It just happened....:o

Breakfast: Sugarsnap peas, white grapes, small citrus.

Lunch: Multigrain french stick with braised tofu, tomato, spring onion, mayo, nori sprinkles, parsley. Fish and chip flavour crisps. Banana, small citrus, choc dessert, kiwi fruit.

Snack: Just one Orange cable (http://www.dooyoo.co.uk/food/asda-orange-cables-sweets/) as opposed to the whole bag, 2 sesame ryvita with peanut butter on, 2 with low fat hummous.

Dinner: Falafels, iceberg lettuce, red onion in multigrain pitta bread with hummous, garlic and herb sauce, chilli sauce, and chips. 2 small citrus.
