Some kind of green.. It ALMOST looks like endive but in a 'boston lettuce' shape. It was slightly bitter yet mild. It was really nice with the pepper taste of the mizuna. Those were both new greens for me. I also had never tried soy bean sprouts either.


It's weird that that green was called bonito, because there is a fish here that is also called bonito [but i think it's actually katsuo in Japanese] and I'm always watching out for that when I get sushi at places, which doesn't even happen anymore because I have this 'thing' where I don't trust other humans- especially non vegans- with preparing my food.

D: raw pad thai w/ zucchini, baby corn, tomato, cuc, shallots, mushies, red capsicum, snow pea shoots, 2 raw nut crumble cookies, 1 pce raw goji chocolate, 2 peppermint teas

Yesterday:
B: leftover slice of pizza (veggies + soy cheese)
L: 2 plates of salad (spring greens, spinach, veggies, edamame, garbanzo beans, balsalmic vinagrette), diet soda
S: 1/2 and apple, raw mixed nuts
D: massur dal and carrot soup (from vegan lunchbox) over a baked potato

Today:
B: ginger snaps
L: trader joe's peanut satay noodles and sauce
S: iced oatmeal raisin luna bar
S: chips and salsa
D: tons of food at a vegan potluck: south of the border couscous salad, garbanzo bean salad, macaroni and "cheese", choc. raspberry cookie, diet soda

A toastie on ww bread with mustard, Tofutti cheese slices and Cheatin' beef
Mug of Miso soup
Green tea
Pepper and cucumber slices with reduced fat houmous
Detox tea
Chocolate soya yogurt dessert

Lots of water.

Today:

B/L: Bowl of teeny strawberries & a banana [sliced] with a few cashews, a few almonds & ~1 tsp crushed golden sesame seeds.. topped with fresh soy milk. :D

S: a big red apple

D: big salad [spinach, mizuna, soy bean sprouts, green onions, red pepper, tomato, 'curried' cauliflower*, steamed kabocha squash & a little black pepper..

D: bowl of "sorbet" [blended frozen mango] with fresh pineapple, banana & tons of lemon zest..

S: 2 cardboardy [yet delicious] Norwegian crackers [only vegan ones I can find here, yikes] with tahini, a smooshed prune & a sliced banana.. and one medium apple on the side.


~3 liters of water..


*the 'curried' cauliflower was really just steamed cauliflower shaken around in a spice mix after cooking.. [curry powder, a little cumin & a little cinnamon]..


The combination of tahini, prunes and bananas is PHENOMENAL. I am going to make oatmeal with the same ingredients tomorrow for breakfast. I'm excited. :)

Breakfast: a handful of walnuts, raisin bun, banana, a pear and a tiny piece of chocolate

Lunch: ww baguette and blueberry smoothie

Dinner: a hanful of pasta with loads of salt

Later: two apples and a pear

Breakfast: Banana, apple
Lunch: I made the BEST Southwestern Salad: Chopped romaine, corn, black beans, green onion, avocado, chopped green and red peppers, and spicy dressing I made by combining Tofutti Sour Cream and salsa. MMM!!! Ate another apple too.
Dinner: Chick'n nuggets, roasted pepper sauce and soy mozzerella, all baked together w/ steamed cauliflower
Dessert: Homemade thumbprint cookies with strawberry jam! :)

Yesterday (travelling for work, so all meals eaten out):

Breakfast: Black coffee and a plain bagel with peanutbutter and grape jelly.

Lunch: veggie burger with tomatoes, romain lettuce, pickles, mustard, ketchup. onion rings. cherry coke.

Dinner: Subway - footlong sandwich with shredded carrots, cucumbers, green peppers, banana peppers, tomatoes, black olives, vinegar, salt/pepper/oregano. Bag of potato chips. Lemonade.

Breakfast: Hot Cross Buns

Lunch: 2 Chip butties with a side plate of chips.

Dinner: Reheated chili (LM mince, onions, tomatoes, mushrooms, celery, green and red sweet peppers, birdseye chilis, lots of spices, mustard and coriander seeds) with a big dollop of mashed potato.

Breakfast: Chocolate stars with oat milk.

Lunch: Vegetable soup and toast.

Dinner: Steamed new potatoes, grilled corn-on-the-cob, chicory in cheezely sauce and vege-burgers.


I had to eat my corn with a screwdriver as I couldn't find my corn holders. It's the second time I've done this. :o

Brunch: chocolate chip scone w/coffee and soycreamer

Dinner: ww spagetti with mock meatballs and tomato basil sauce, to which i added chopped tomatoes, garlic olives and white onion. sprinkled with nutritional yeast.

another peice of CC scone for dessert. :)

Breakfast: pumpkin scone. coffee w/soycreamer

Lunch: Boca chick'n patty on a ww bun w/sliced tomatoes, avacados, shredded carrots, herb mix. Tings.

Dinner: indonesian stirfy made of sauteed tempeh, broccoli, carrots, waterchestnuts, mushrooms, baby corn, peapods, onions, peppers, etc. in a ginger/garlic/seasame/peanutbutter sauce

Dessert: some chocolate. lots of water.

Snack: hard cider and another handful of Tings.
