 Some people here don't seem to eat enough to feed a flea! And what happened to the idea of eating at least 5 portions of fruit and veg? I know it's none of my business but I can't help feeling concerned :(
Let me put your mind at rest on quantity (if not quality...) :D
Yesterday
B: Big bowl of fruit (strawberries, raspberries, blueberries, blackberries) followed by hot ciabatta with mushrooms and masses of Pure
S: An entire pack <oh the shame> of black sesame Japanese rice crackers
L: Big bowl of porridge made with soya milk and maple syrup
S: More Japanese rice crackers
D: Cauldron chickpea and spinach balti with pilau rice
S: Oven chips and onion rings with ketchup
I've just been shopping and bought lots of veggies/fruit so the next few days will be healthier, but still full of food cos I like it so much! :D

Sigh. I've noticed that about this thread too.
Does anyone have a good site that shows single serving portions for fruits and veggies and grains and stuff? I'm sure this sounds ridiculous, but I just don't know. I'm sure I'm eating TOO MUCH of everything and I'd like to correct that. Also, does anyone else have a hard time getting however many [6 to 11 or something?] servings of grains each day? I do.

This (http://www.dh.gov.uk/en/Publichealth/Healthimprovement/FiveADay/FiveADaygeneralinformation/DH_4001494) gives an idea of what our govt means by a portion of fruit and veg - of course it's probably different for non-Britons ;)
I think the recommendations on wholegrains are a bit more controversial than the ones about fruit and veg?
Glad to see some of us at least are eating enough to keep body and soul together :)

Your day sounded yummy Est.:)
I just went and bought Golden Delicious apples, strawberries and kiwis which will be inhaled soon.;) Some days I must eat about 12 servings of fruit and vegetables and then some days I only have about 3 or 4 servings. I think it must balance out.
I also had a punnet of strawberries,
Apple with spoonful of PB,
Rooibos caramel tea,
3 kiwis,
Green tea,
Mixed bean dip with some crackers,
Mushroom creamy noodles,
I'm cooking homemade potato wedges with sweet chilli sauce in my oven now,
Lettuce, tomatoes, celery and apple salad with dressing.

On holiday with my best friend she observed that if she ate as little as I did she would be anorexically thin, whereas I am if anything a little over weight. My mum is the same, we just have awful metabolisms :(

vegan slim, I made a vegetable lentil of soup, with the prime ingredient being spinach, the result, green goo mixed in with dark green slim plant, all I was missing to make it perfect was eye of newt and a cauldron instead of a pressure cooker.
Gone off Marg on toast.
I'll finish up with probably, a bean burger, some chips and some sausages (the Linda M sort)

Whoa. I'm not even exactly sure what this is, but it sounds yummmmy. :D
Today:
Bowl of oatmeal with ~28 teeny strawberries & cinnamon
Half a large pink grapefruit
Cup of Pukka's pleasure tea with a tiny bit of coffee mixed in
Bowl of red lentil and carrot soup with a brown rice mochi [heh :o]
Big salad [lettuce, tomato, green onions, lemon [juice & zest] raisins, white rice vinegar, & black pepper..]
An apple
Few cups of Pukka's relax tea.
Has anyone ever tried brown rice mochi (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mochi_%28food%29)? I like white rice mochi but it's so unhealthy. I was super happy when I found brown rice mochi at this strange shop called "vegetarian"! Though the shop sells lots of meat.. it's weird. Yay for brown rice mochi! It's delicious!! :tongue_ani:
