Im excited to try this tofurkey .. the one you baste like a real turkey and then slice.. you know? I have heard wonderful things about it.

. DO you know how much iron you get in that? Also does the iron in the Molasses get cooked out when I bake it?

Iron is a mineral so it is not harmed by cooking. It can't go anywhere, or be destroyed. Unlike vitamins, many of which are harmed by cooking or long shelf life.

There must be a different kind out there... because I got some a long time ago, and I didn't like them. I didnt read them though, to see what flavor they are. Everyone asked me if I was going to get a tofurkey for Thanksgiving, and since I didn't like those slices year ago, I didnt get one. Everyone seems to be raving about it.. I need to try it again. Are there different flavors???? (I'm really limited where I live as far as selection, but I can make a trip if there are diffrent kinds hehe, my tummy rules my life like that)

There are different flavors. :p The Hickory Smoke flavor is the ultimate!!!! It is so awesome when you are on the road to bring vegenaise, vegan cheese and hickory smoke Tofurkey slices, stop at Subway and buy footlongs with no cheese and put all your stuff on. It is so good when you are on the road.:p
:confused:Subway would be so smart if they would start carrying veganaise, vegan cheese and that hickory smoked tofurkey. We should all write them letters. Ah, that is a good idea for a thread...:)

I had Christmas dinner at work today. I ate:

THREE tofu grill sausages
Onion gravy (which I took in a thermos :D )
Sprouts
Carrots
Mashed turnip
About 5 roast potatoes
Roasted peppers and courgette
Vegan Christmas pudding
Soyatoo cream

I'm still too full to even contemplate dinner, though I'm sitting dangerously close to the mince pies :D

Hi Vegan Barbie - onion gravy link (http://www.parsleysoup.co.uk/sauces/oniongravy.htm) I think corn flour is the same as 'corn starch' in the US

For the stock I usually use vecon - it comes in a jar with a green lid and looks a bit like marmite. (http://www.goodnessdirect.co.uk/cgi-local/frameset/detail/600210.html)

What's for dinner RW? :) I hope you get a very big serving!
