Ara your day sounded really healthy :)

Hemlock I've never tried pickled walnuts - do you think it's possible to DIY it at home?

I really don't know - they look a bit like beetroot and are the same texture when they come out of the jar - not nut like at all!!
I only realised they were walnuts when I cut one open and it looked like a little brain.
It tastes more like a pickled vegetable.

Haven't eaten much today, but about to tuck into some chickpea curry I just made courtesy of one of Flying Plum's recipe links :D Really nervous, as it's my first attempt and is also being taste-tested by the "curry king" :o

Other than that...

B: Quinoa pilaf. A banana and a coffee.

L: A peanut Trek Bar, 2 pears, an apple and a banana.

S: A few squares of almond dark chocolate and a couple of mango chilli Kettle crisps.

Yum!
I am now craving mocha ice cream.
Gorilla, is the nut roast homeade or store bought? I'm looking for an alternative to tofurkey which is what I make for holiday type dinners.

i had the roast in a pub so i don't know! it seemed to be the type that you buy dried in a packet and mix with water before baking. it had a nice subtle curried flavour to it.

That looks SO good!! I am in Maine, USA. There is one vegan restaurant an hour away (run by seventh day adventists) and luckily several decent natural stores. But sadly the general philosophy here is "shoot em and eat em"....hunting is rampant  :( :(

handful of goji berries and a chewy seed bar type thing

marinated baked tofu...ginger and soya sauce and some other bits
stir fried beansprouts and green beans

massive wedge of lemon cake and alpro custard (not tried that before..it's alright!) was like a school dinner type pudding?!
