Are you still losing weight, Roxy?....

Roxy
Mar 26th, 2007, 05:01 AM
I'm pretty steady at 134 pounds now, which I'm happy with. Does it look like I'm not eating much?

kriz
Mar 26th, 2007, 05:06 AM
No, I was just curious because I'm trying to lose (well, starting today) 10 pounds, and thought maybe you could share some "tricks". You look great BTW.;)

Roxy

:D Thanks!

Well, what I do might not work for a lot of people - but I calorie count every day except for one day each week when I have a "cheat" day. (Actually that day is tomorrow and I'm looking forward to getting stuck into my vegan donut holes ;) )

I eat between 1600 and 1800 calories a day (depending on how active I am or where I am in my menstrual cycle) and keep my fat intake at 30% or less.

All the best with your weight loss efforts Kriz :) If you need any support - just PM me!

kriz
Mar 26th, 2007, 05:20 AM
Oh, thanks, Roxy.:) You know, you're so right about that "cheat" day - last time I was on a weightloss plan (ten years ago!!) it was so useful to have one day of where I could eat something "sinful" and delicious. Potato chips was usually my deal.:p I lost 20 pounds in a 3 months (from 140 to 120).

Roxy
Mar 26th, 2007, 05:23 AM
Wow!! That's great! Congratulations :)

Cheat days help me to be good during the rest of the week. I eat cookies every day anyway, but at least there's one day a week, where I don't have to worry about how many cookies I have ;) :)

kriz
Mar 26th, 2007, 05:28 AM
Well, that was 10 years ago.... quite a few pounds are back again. I'll try to stay on 1600 to 1800 calories a day like you do and I'll see what will happen. Thanks again.:)

Breakfast: none, slept in

Lunch: Yummy black bean and garlic rice stir fry full of Asian vegetables, from The Noodle Box restaurant. Some dark chocolates from Purdy's for dessert :D

Supper: I was too lazy to make sushi, so I ended up having only a small bowl of roasted pumpkin seeds and a bowl of shredded wheat. But I was too full from the Noodle Box to eat much anyway.

Tomorrow will be sushi day! :D
