Hi there,

I'm new to this site, but have been a vegetarian for the last 3 years and just recently became vegan.

I made some "cheese" sauce for nachos last night using nutrional yeast flakes, garlic, mustard, salt, margarine, water and flour. Not bad at all!

My question....finally (I tend to ramble)...

Anyone know if this sauce keeps well in the fridge and if so, fo how long?

Thanks,

Natasha

Yes, it does and keeps for about a week. It will solidify so you can either use it as a spread or reheat it in a saucepan to liquify it again.

Good stuff, huh? :)

Could you possibly post the recipe tasha?

Uhm... Yes! Please do. The nutritional yeast is really good for you, so this sounds like an extremely healthy substitute even for most shop bought vegan cheeze, let alone the cow stuff.

I just posted it on the recipe section, listed under--nutritional yeast flake "cheese"

It is a simple and quick fix, takes no time or effort at all. ;)
