Hello All,

I was wondering if you guys knew anything about vitamin A and the difference between vegan sources (beta-carotene i think) and animal sources. It seems that anything written in favour of animal based diets always say that vegans dont get proper vitamin A, we only get beta-carotene which can be turned into "real" vitamin A if certain conditions are met (kind of like LNA and DHA and EPA converting into each other) If anyone knows anything about it or maybe some links where I could get some information on it, I'd appreciate it.

Why not check out http://ohioline.osu.edu/hyg-fact/5000/5551.html ? They give a list, (and apart from eggs & milk - that we can ignore) comprising common veges. They recommend raw, and so do I. :)
