I'm afraid I haven't actually tried these yet, so I don't know if they taste as good as the commercial ones from my pre-vegan days.

3 cups quick-cook rolled oats
1 cup flaked almonds
1 cup shelled sunflower seeds
1 cup raisins (or omit and add extra chips instead ;))
1 cup choc chips
1 batch of sweetened condensed soy milk (http://vegweb.com/recipes/sweets/3143.shtml) (must make a day ahead)
1/4 cup vegan margarine, melted

Preheat oven to 325 F (160 C). Combine all the ingredients in a large bowl and mix well (mixture will be quite stiff). Turn mixture onto greased baking/cookie sheet. Cover with waxed paper (or grease your hands) and press mixture down evenly. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes until golden. Cool for 15 minutes, and cut into bars.

I can't be bothered to make the condensed milk just yet, so if any of you try these before I do, be sure to let me know how they taste.

What do you mean by a batch?

If you follow the condensed milk recipe using the quantities of ingredients stated on the website, that will make one batch.

Mmmmm - these sound yummy! If anyone goes to the trouble of making them can you please post to let us know how they went. Either that - or you could send me a sample ;) :p

Yeah I just made these last weekend, and they were rubbish I'm afraid. At least in my opinion. I could barely taste the condensed soy milk, so they tasted very dry, not moist and sticky like I expected. Wouldn't bother with them. But I love the apricot logs (http://www.veganforum.com/forums/showthread.php?t=4559) I posted earlier! They are so easy and so good!
