I was in Seattle for the past week and I'm so thankful for this thread! And especially for the VegSeattle link that gertvegan had posted...it was extremely helpful :)
Here's my review of the places I went...
Cyber-Dogs cafe (downtown area):
This is an adorable and charming Internet cafe! Very small place but with a big personality. It's painted in bright colors and decorated with colorful decorations and posters, creating a cheery atmosphere. The staff is extremely friendly...they even remembered my preferences and my orders after only visiting once! The menu is all vegan, except for one vegetarian item; there are both vegan and non-vegan desserts (cookies, chocolate, muffins). Basically, the menu consists of creatively-named, different vegan "hot-dogs" with various fillings. For instance, there's a Mexican style hot-dog, an Italian-style sausage, and others with different combinations of veggies and toppings. There's also a mock tuna sandwich. All the "meat" tastes VERY much like real meat in both texture and taste...it was so realistic, that I couldn't eat it because it reminded me too much of real meat. I ended up eating the mock tuna salad sandwich several times, and that was just as realistic, but for some reason it didn't bother me as much, and actually it was incredibly delicious!!! They have their own "cheese" made out of nutritional yeast and nuts, which is the best vegan cheese I've tried so far...it actually tasted like real melted cheese!
Wild Ginger restaurant (downtown area):
This is a Thai food restaurant. The atmosphere is very nice...feels somewhat upscale, but you can go there either dressed up or dressed casually, and the food is very affordable (pretty much all the vegan options are under $10, but the non-vegan options go into the $20's and $30's). The menu they initially give you is an omni menu, so be sure to ask for the vegetarian menu (most of which is vegan, and the vegetarian items can be made vegan on request). The vegetarian menu has quite a selection of items and the food is delicious! I think they had some fruits, but no other vegan desserts...
Hillside Quickies (University District area):
OMG, this place was awesome!!! It's a Jamaican restaurant with an all vegan soulfood menu! The food is incredibly delicious! I had a sandwich with Jamaican spice tofu, potato salad and veggies and an order of spicy fries, which were so flavorful! And they have various vegan desserts (bread pudding, "cheesecake", cookies, and others) The food is greasy, though, so I wouldn't say it's a very healthy option (though I eat very little grease normally, so I think I might be hyper-sensitive to grease). I highly recommend this place if you're in Seattle :)
I wish I could have gone to the other vegan restaurants, but they were too far away (walking distance, we didn't rent a car) from our downtown hotel, and we didn't have too much time for going places since we were there for a conference.

Yes, it was a yummy adventure, Roxy! I hope you get a chance to visit Seattle...it's a beautiful city! When my plane was landing there, it was just about sunset time on a clear day, so snow-capped Mt. Rainier was lit by the sunset...so stunningly gorgeous! And then we flew over the beautiful San Juan islands, which was also very beautiful. I like that the city feels like a big city (with lots to do) but is very green with lots of plants everywhere...all the trees, bushes, and flowers were blooming :)
I definitely plan to apply in Seattle for my internship after graduate school!

I was in Seattle last week and will probably be up there every month. If anyone wants to hang out in Seattle, I'll be there everyone once in a while. I'm in Portland, just 2 1/2 hours south.

That article actually makes me feel better... I had heard of the mango "cheesecake" and really wanted to try it, but didn't have time/transportation to go to that restaurant. Maybe I didn't miss out...
