Freezing in Bendigo, Victoria. About 9 degrees today and we have no firewood brrrrrrrr:( .
I do prefer it to the horrible humidity we had in the summer and the threat of fire though!

It's weird but I enjoy the cold and have a lot more energy now than in the summer. I am also a lot more productive. I particularly love the cold nights but the 'autumn/winter sun' in the day time. Today is perfect!

Lovley spot, you certainly would know about the cold up there. I'm down the hill in Sydney.

My brother in law and his family live in Gosford, near Sydney I think. I went there once but there were man eating spiders:eek: so Ive vowed never to return until the spiders turn vegan.

I know it's off topic but there is some interesting material about white tailed spiders here. (http://www.amonline.net.au/spiders/dangerous/white_tailed/dangerous.htm)
Just treat them all as poisonous and try not to get bitten while ushering them to a more suitable location. :)
Sydney has funnel web spiders (http://www.amonline.net.au/spiders/dangerous/funnelweb/) - which are truly worth respecting and taking precautions since they like similiar conditions that humans do - especially in Sydney.
Friend who lived in Sydney heard one rumbling it's way across the floor boards in the middle of the night - they are a chunky spider.
It's quite cold in Adelaide tonight. :)

I love Victoria's weather we get hot, cold, snow, beautiful autumn leaves and today is a georgous balmy 20 degrees. Who could ask for more? And not much revolting humidity. I love spiders they won't harm you much unless you have an allergy to them, then the rot will set in. We have them bigger than a hand and stripey, cute and furrey. I am not fond of the bull ants though.
