It looks like we won't be going away this summer because I haven't got enough money right now. I'll be taking a week off during the school summer holidays and spending a week with my kids doing daytrips instead.
I was thinking instead of going somewhere hot in the October hols and/or Christmas hols.
Anyone know where would be hot at that time of year? I can't stand the winters in the U.K, I feel the cold too much! A week or two in the sun would make all the difference. Vegan friendly would be a big bunus, I'll plan to go self catering. Any ideas?

Somewhere in the middle of a hot desert? It's not terribly vegan friendly, but it curtails the omnivorous diet as well, so...

Hah sorry. I assume you just keep going south and it gets warmer and warmer?

I don't think so. I have a friend who's part Greek and she told me that Greece is colder than the UK in winter

Thanks guys. I think it's looking like the canary islands because they're fairly cheap and have a pretty good temperature all year. I was trying to fly from Bristol with Easy jet but I think I'll have to compromise and go from London in order to geta cheap flight to where I want. I guess once I've done it once it will all be a lot easier!
If I find a nice self catering place, I'll let you know!
