I like good dates. Some dates are really dry and chewy. Medjool dates and these other dates I picked up at the Middle Eastern store were really good.

I like a few good dates now and then, especially the ones with shredded coconut and an almond in the middle - a California special!;) But my all time favorites are "Barhi Dates".... mmmmmm, they're soft and sweet as caramel.
I while ago I bought some from my local farmers market and managed to eat the whole 1 pound bag at once!! Sugar shock!
