Yorkshire vegans?!

Hi all,
Just wondered if any of you are local to Yorkshire as i'm interested in joining any vegan groups that make a difference! - i.e. protests/demos - anything! I just feel that I could do more than just not eat animals!
Open to suggestions :-)
