Woohoo Tigerlily :)
Hey Tigerlily that is ace.I konw that feeling, better than orgasms!Lol:D
That's awesome, Tigerlily!
Today I did pretty well, considering it was too cold and wet to go outside. I did 10 min high intensity (very fast) jump roping, about 20 min calisthenics, and spurts of 50 jumping jacks about 5 times throughout the day. Yay me! Hopefully my old pants will fit again soon.
Wow great work brighteyed! :)
I am always moaning about not being able find a decent exerise vid..but recently I been using youtube-bits of work out videos are on there and theyre good!I just do 3-4 of them usually takes me bout half hour-use dumbells for more intensity:)
I've lost 5lbs! :) I couldn't believe my eyes this morning when the scale told me so!
Today I resisted the temptation to eat a bunch of French fries...I only had a handful (normally I'll have a whole plate of them). I also exercise, I did 6.5 minutes of running and 10 minutes of dancing. According to my Daily Plate, I burnt 138 calories in just 16 minutes. :) If the rain stops, I'll go for a walk this evening.
Good going Tigerlily!
My mom even told me that I look slimmer in the belly. I think I lost the 5lbs all my stomach since most of my dance moves include doing wannabe belly dancing moves. :p
:thumbsup:Yay Tigerlilly!!! :D
:tongue_ani: Thanks. :)
How is everyone else doing with their goals?
I haven't managed to lose any extra weight (well I have, but it is the same 3 pounds which keeps going off and on again!) and I'm struggling a bit with will power not to over-eat in the evenings.
Unfortunately I went out for a meal unexpectedly tonight so a lot of additional calories were consumed today, but I had a good time.
I'm still off the trampoline but doing Callanetics to try to keep some routine and tone up a bit. I think I'm okay to start jumping again (when the weather permits) but plan to do it alongside or alternately with Callanetics as I'm slightly worried about building huge thigh muscles. (Normally my thighs are one of the first bits to slim down when I lose weight but this hasn't happened this time and I'm wondering whether it is all the jumping and leg work on the trampoline.)
Disaster day today for me I’m afraid.
I’ve had a few health related issues which I’ve addressed/addressing and things were going really well as I ramp up towards training again.
The last few days I had trouble around my lung area on the right hand side. It was catching my breath. Thought maybe pulled a muscle but unfortunately it was the facet joints in the spine.
I had to go to physio and have had three injections in my spine. I hate the feeling of the needle going into the bone.
You have to laugh though, the physio was upset to see me again in so much pain. I’ll bet he is at £35 per session :)
Poor Frank. Will this be something that bothers you from now on or can they sort it?
Sorry to hear that Frank!
But great job Tigerlily and Brighteyed!
Marrers, you think your legs are building up too much muscle? I think it may just be that you're training your muscles and they've become more toned... Maybe try coupling the jumping with some strength traning for the rest of your body? Just to even things out?
So I'm back on the bandwagon now. I'm ready to continue on my goals!:
- cardio/ elliptical - 40 mins/ 4x week
- yoga, back therapy - 20 mins/ 6x week
- home workout/ arm weights - 20 mins/ 6x week
I've set up a diet plan as well, no processed foods, transitioning to all 95% raw by may 12th. I'm considering doing a detox as well, but nothing looks all that healthy or sustainable from what I've read. But anyway, lets keep it going!!
Good luck, Ella.
I've been jumping rope like mad today! My legs have gotten noticably BIGGER, however, even though I haven't been doing squats or any "building" exercises. My arms are larger as well. I'm sure it's all muscle but I would like to lose the fatty tissue without putting on any bulk (I'm a small person...only 5'1) because a bulky short person is somewhat less than attractive.
It's all very frustrating. But great job to everyone else, keep up the good work! And feel better Frank!
I wouldn't worry about bulking up, if your not lifting then that little bit on muscle will plataeu. Anyways, a little tone is nice!Quote:

Nice work TigerLily!
My supervisor got all mother-ish on me the other day because she noticed I lost some weight. Older people always think you're "too thin"
:)
I have been doing some workouts from here http://www.women-workout-routines.com/ and some that are on youtube, and runnign round the block. I am still self consious when running outside. I get scared of having to stop too.
Yesterday I ran from my front door, round the block, back to my front door, then round the block but a different bit, back to my front door again...(repeat:D) lol but I figured at least then I will keep going knowin I can always just change the route and go back home without having to stop because I am far away from home kwim?
I bet I looked a bit of a gibbon if anybody was watching though.Jus running round and round in circles!
I can't believe I am venturing onto this thread. :o
I have started a healthy eating regime today and am not having any more alcohol until I go on holiday which will hopefully be some time throughout June. I weighed myself this morning and I want to lose about three quarters of a stone by the end of May. I did 20 mins on my mini trampoline yesterday and 30 mins today.
(I might look at that link Sugarmouse, ta.):)
It should have been sorted last year - which was the worst pain/condition i've ever had. That caused severe pains and paralysed my upper right quarter of my body with pain. We got that sorted. Now unfortunately i've got it back but lower down my spine....(so here we go again...)
Apart from that I was doing well on my 'new' regime. I had gone up to 14stone 10lbs due to my body craving sugar at every opportunity. Once I changed my diet around that has come down to 13stone 12 lbs this morning :) Not bad in three weeks or so. It will stabilise somewhere soon I guess - the lower the better though.
I've now been allocated my own personal trainer at the physio. So all of these things together will move me back to where I want to be...eventually :)
Well done Frank! Hope your back problems get sorted soon. It is so frustrating when injury prevents you from exercising.
Welcome Aphrodite! Fingers crossed that your pain improves soon Frank, good progress with the weight loss.
I managed to do ten minutes on the trampoline today (first time for 10 days since I injured my calf) so I think I'll do that alongside the Callanetics (which is killing me btw - my o/h is always taking the piss, because the movements are so small he thinks I'm not doing anything, just pretending to exercise but it really does you in!)
I'm doing okay - 1 hour brisk walk + 20 minutes on the bike every day (+ swimming on Sundays). My back is hurting but I'm trying ignore it and fight through it (the specialist said I'm going to feel worse before I feel better !)
I've kind of come to a stand still with losing weight and I still have a stone to lose, hoping it'll start coming off again if I gradually increase what I'm doing !??
I really want to start running (or should I say staggering round the block) but I'm worried my back won't take it, might start off really slowly and see how it goes - just need to find some running shoes now :)
Thanks Marrers.:)
(I tried callanetics when I was younger, it is quite a deep muscle exercise.)
I think I've overdone it the last few days. Wed- hour of spin class, thurs- hour tae-bo, today- hour spin. My knees feel awful!
Oh no! So many injuries! I'm working through my own pain issues, but I find that the elliptical machine helps a lot :) Although its at the gym, its the only thing that doesn't hurt my back and joints :(
After swimming this morning we got the bikes out and went cross country, did me in a little as there were lots of hills and bumps and my back was protesting a little. Still, I feel good :) (Hope I still feel that way tomorrow morning !)
I'm eating cookies and feeling a little discouraged. :( Someone at church (which I haven't been to in months) thought I was pregnant!
Oh no! Don't you dare get discouraged! She's obviously an idiot to say something like that and probably gets off on making people feel bad.Quote:

I ate and drank like garbage all weekend and feel like crap. So I'm just going to extra good all week!
Yeah, I just felt self conscious for the rest of the day (the church was extra long due to my cousin's baptism and a meal afterwards). I thought I looked smokin in my Gap dress. :p
Tomorrow I'm starting fresh with the calorie counting, exercising, and general healthiness.
i was right with you guys on this let's get fit and healthy kick. exercising a good amount everyday and eating very healthy. i've actually felt a huge change in my energy levels. until recently my boyfriend and i broke up and ever since then i haven't exercised even the slightest amount. i have no motivation anymore.
I think it's really great that you lost 5 pounds! And that woman was just plain rude. Good on you for not letting it get you down for too long and for keeping on working towards your goal :)
Sunrisesunset, breakups can be hard and when you're emotionally drained, it's hard to be physically active. As you feel more confident again, you'll feel like you're able to start to get back into the swing of things (((HUGS)))
The funny thing is, if she wasn't 70 years old, she'd look like she was pregnant too! :D With triplets!
You were obviously looking gorgeous and 'glowing' as they say pregnant women do Tigerlily! Take no notice - you know how well you are doing. As you said they haven't seen you for a while so wouldn't have seen any of the weight you had gained and have now lost. And so what if you had a cookie day - just start afresh now.
sunrisesunset now, when you are feeling emotionally low, is exactly when you need to feel good and energetic physically - so try to find the motivation from somewhere to carry on what you have been doing. Making sure you look drop dead gorgeous next time you bump into your ex can sometimes be a good motivator in these situations - just use whatever reasons will work to keep you going and doing something for yourself, then hopefully it will lead to you feeling better in yourself and not actually giving a toss if you actually did bump into him.
I agree sunrise/set-now is the time to be nice to yourself, mind and body. And exercise will make you feel better, boost your energy levels, give you a focus and help you feel happier:)
Tigerlilly I agree wth Marrers you must look all healthy and radiant:)
wht exactly did she say to you?
And yes, me...today I did a couple of workouts which were on youtube (jus type aerobics into it!) adding weights for extra intensity, bout twenty mins worth of that, then went for ten minute run round block
Slowly getting myself into running outside.
Yesterday I didnt exercise, had a long car journey to my parents and was not feeling well..
Saturday did 20 mins treadmill:)
She didn't say anything to my face but was gossiping about me to other church ladiess.
B!TCH!
No offense to your church in particular but sometimes older church ladies do that when someone looks smokin'.
I don't know if all people do but I find that I zero in on my own imperfections on other people? I'm sure she does the same.
Not to say that you did look pregnant:rolleyes: Just saying that even if you were a little bloated, or if you have a pot you were looking super hot for her to feel the need to say that.
What a rude woman Tigerlily.
I have not been doing too well with healthiness these last couple of days. But I did 35 mins on my trampoline this morning.
You are back on track then, after a few days off! 35 minutes is a long time, well done.
