i saw a green and blacks eater egg (with mini eggs!) on sale at tesco £4.99 or sommat
i don't think the G&B ones that come with mini eggs are vegan - i seem to recall the mini eggs are milk chocolate pralines. :(
Mr Flibble, Easter eggs taste just the same as any other chocolate! :p in fact some of them taste worse, as some manufacturers seem to think they can get away with using poorer quality chocolate because of the novelty of it being an Easter egg!
Oh, Gorilla, don't spoil his fun!!!;)
i've dropped loads of hints to my boyfriend that i want a dairy free egg from animal aid or something..but most of all i wanna try the vegan cream eggs, cos i havent had a cream egg in 3 & 1/2 years!
:D
I saw a lovely easter egg in the proper chocolate shop in Alfriston, East Sussex. The guy in there sells loads of vegan chocolate items including drinking chocolate etc - shame i'm not a big fan of chocolate but I sometimes get stuff in there for my son who likes it.
They had a top quality solid dark chocolate vegan egg with great big chunks of crystallised ginger throughout, even I was impressed.
Unfortunately it was £15
I disagree - I think there is something about the thinness of chocolate. The thinner it is the better it tastes. Maybe it's a reaction to the air or something as that would explain why people like Aero.Quote:

Has anyone mentioned the Divine Darkly Easter Egg? I think it's 70% chocolate, and it includes chocolate covered Brazil Nuts. But I haven't checked the ingredients personally, so don't know if they're ok or not.
I got my carob easter stuff from DND... looks nice but my god, the price!! I guess because carob buyers are only a small market and easter is only the once a year.... but it is a bit of a shock!! :)
I'm glad to have something to open on the day though. Although I don't even know what day it is....! Easter Sunday?? We are away for the long weekend so I'll just eat it whenever!
I entered this competition and won 1st prize!

They were delivered on Thursday. I even got a phone call from the company to check I had received them! Apparently only 62 people entered, which is bizarre!
We now have chocolate easter eggs for the first time since we were bairns!
:D
Congratulations! Enjoy!:D
Yay! I wish vegan Easter chocolates were readily available in grocery stores here...well, maybe not because I'll eat it all in one sitting. :p
Congrats you lucky bunny!
Congratulations.. make sure you eat them all at once now!
I wish I had some chocolate, bah humbug!
I have loads here but you cant have any because its all mine :DQuote:

My family got me some Cadbury Easter Eggs, and I was like "uhhh I can't eat these".
It was a bit annoying because they bought deserts and treats for everyone and they didn't take the time to find me anything, and to top that off when it came time for dinner, they had put butter on almost all the vegetables.
Much better! :DQuote:

Oh, Laurin, I'm sorry:( That's rather inconsiderate of them! There are plenty of vegan sweets and they should have at least given you something, even if it was not in an Easter shape or wrapper! It would have shown that they respect your values and have taken time to get you something that you would be able to eat...Quote:

Can you talk with your parents and tell them you felt left out?
And if I were you, I'd go buy myself a lot of sweets:D
my mum and dad got me a kinnerton dairy free egg with a choc bar, i ate it in one go and made myself very ill, still it was worth it... my folks are the best. i asked how much it cost and they said £3.50 from asda, bargain.
cant wait for next year, to be honest i dont even celebrate easter but i do celebrate vegan chocolate..
My eggs are gone.
Now to move onto the truffles!
Laurin I'm sorry your family didn't include you in their Easter celebrations :(
Did you have a word with them about it?
Well I got no easter eggs or anything else this year - boo hoo!!! I brought my boyfriend some montezumas mini lime eggs but got nowt from him : 0 (
I went into montzeumas today and they have some things for sale half price - easter bunnies now £2 (I got two for my parents who return from America tommorrow) There are also there amazing giant eggs for sale for £15 (down from £30). To console myself I brought a bag of choclate drops and now feel sick from eating them!

Mmmm... yes please!
Espresso and Hazlenut crunch Truffle eggs please :)
Yes, but what happened to the old-style booja booja ones with the amazing copper coloured scrunchy wrapping? It was a box of truffles, with the easter egg on top, and the chocolate was lovely. I'm quite upset you can't get them anymore.
I just ordered some of these:

Cherry, check out their cake tins as well! - Guess which one I ordered?
I plan to make a few easter eggs this year, although I'm not really up for a full on Easter celebration. There are also quite a choice of sweets at the Co-op which are labelled as vegan which you could fill the handmade eggs with, or get some off veganstore.
Which one?
I'd guess you ordered the biggest of the chocolate egg molds cos they're sold out :D
This one of course!

The big egg moulds were already out of stock when I went in! I ordered the smaller ones as I'm worried the well meaning relatives will bye big dairy free eggs for the kids and we'll have choc overload!
Waitrose have the small Kinnertons dairy free eggs in Simpsons or Bang on the Door at £1.99 with vegan jellies inside:D
The vegan shop in Birmingham should be getting in the individual cream eggs at £1 too and they stock a great range if anyones in Brum:)
I don't suppose anyone's heard of a near-equivalent to Cadbury Mini-Eggs? I used to love them because of the thick candy coated shell. I'd love to find a vegan chocolate with such a crunchy shell.
I'd love to find a vegan creme egg...
My mummy said she's got me a green and blacks one, mmm!
there is a company in the UK that makes these, they're quite hard to find here though so i'm not sure if they're available outside this country. they're available from Veganstore and some wholefood shops sell them.
Holland and Barrett and other independant health shops sell speckled eggs same range as the whizzers vegan smarties, they are like mini eggs:)
They're not exactly like a creme egg but they have fondant inside the egg (blackcurrant or raspberry flavours I think).
