white fat??? (is that like crisco?), trex???, and I figured out bung it. made me laugh actually.
^ that's amusing cos i was scrutinising the post trying to work out which bit needed translating from over here to over there language!!?
hahaha sorry rubyduby. yeah "bung" is an awfully british word. sorry. Should have said place or something. white fat can be any solid refrigerated fat like trex, flora white, supermarket's own brand. I don't know what brands you get there, but yeah it's white...erm....fat.
ooh shortening's the word! sorry!
Yum!:)
i possibly would've used the words 'twaz it in...'..buuuut, i am common and northern, sooo...
ah but isn't 'twaz describing the whizzing of it rather than the placing of it?! Or do I need translations?
..bung, twaz, lob..(in) - it's all the same thing. ;)
twaz possibly implies a more careless action??
(She makes words up you know bryzee.) ;)
I'd probably have lobbed it in!
I would be screwed over there! you ppl are making me cry! :) Twas??? (the night before christmas maybe!)
woww. this thread is making me really really really hungry.
next time i make something, i'll try to remember to take some pictures.
I know! I wish I had a camera. Might inspire me to cook more often.

LOL.
what kind of onion is that in your salad cedar? is that the little white onions? those are the kinds of onions they always use in restaurant salads that i love but i never know what kind of onion it is. i usually buy red or big yellow onions.
regular brown onions - but grown in my garden - so they tasted extra good:)
The avocado looked scrumptious (as did the rest of your lunch).

im want to go and cook something up now.. just wish i had some time...
wow jamboxrock, did you make all of that?
I can't believe how good those cherry waffles look! whats that yummy looking frosting made of JBR?
Thanks for the compliments :) I made all of it except the brat, potatoes & goulash. Oh, and the waffles were from a box in the freezer. I feel about 10 pounds heavier after this weekend!
The general tso's is from vegweb, the cupcakes are from VCTOTW, the pretzels were superfun to make but I made my male friend knead as I am not so down with kneading. The frosting is also from VCTOTW and is made of fat, sugar, and more fat :o
omg jamboxrock, if you have any time i would love it if you posted the recipe for the pretzels!!! mmmm those look soo good.
yum, yes please pretzel recipe!
The pretzel recipe is here: http://www.theoktoberfest.com/HTML/pretzel/index.html
We doubled the recipe and followed it almost exactly. It was actually much easier than I thought it was going to be, and really delicious. They were for an Oktoberfest party with an elaborate spread, and they ended up being the hit of the party.
thanks jamboxrock!!! ive been craving bread pretzels the whole time ive been vegan. id like to make some with pizza sauce on top like those unvegan ones youd get in the grocery store. do you have the recipe for that yummy looking frosting stuff too? id love to have some of that on my waffles hahaha.
wow... whenever I've got time to waste a day online I find a zillion of threads I wished they existed but didn't know they did.
