Holidays and weather around the world
It looks like we won't be going away this summer because I haven't got enough money right now. I'll be taking a week off during the school summer holidays and spending a week with my kids doing daytrips instead.
I was thinking instead of going somewhere hot in the October hols and/or Christmas hols.
Anyone know where would be hot at that time of year? I can't stand the winters in the U.K, I feel the cold too much! A week or two in the sun would make all the difference. Vegan friendly would be a big bunus, I'll plan to go self catering. Any ideas?

Melbourne Australia is hot at Christmas and very vegan friendly
Re: Holidays and weather around the world
Somewhere in the middle of a hot desert? It's not terribly vegan friendly, but it curtails the omnivorous diet as well, so...
Hah sorry. I assume you just keep going south and it gets warmer and warmer?

Here in the US we travel to mexico, south america, and the caribbean islands during the winter. http://www.caribbean.com/
You guys probably do greece or italy? Isn't the med warm all winter?

I don't think so. I have a friend who's part Greek and she told me that Greece is colder than the UK in winter

Really.
Well, there is always africa! But you will want to avoid the rainy season...

Thanks guys. I think it's looking like the canary islands because they're fairly cheap and have a pretty good temperature all year. I was trying to fly from Bristol with Easy jet but I think I'll have to compromise and go from London in order to geta cheap flight to where I want. I guess once I've done it once it will all be a lot easier!
If I find a nice self catering place, I'll let you know!
