do you need to be a special member to post a picture ?

When you uploaded to imageshack it should have given you a selection of different codes you can use, one of them called 'code for forums', if you copy and paste that one it should show up.
Otherwise what you need to do is click this button http://www.veganforum.com/forums/ima...nsertimage.gif and then put the web address of the image you want to show in the box that appears. Only problem is that the links you've posted are not direct links to the images but links to imageshack web pages that have the images on them.
Rather than http://img5.imageshack.us/my.php?ima...hquicheye1.jpg you need http://img5.imageshack.us/img5/921/a...hquicheye1.jpg
Your food looks fantastic by the way
OMG Vercimus! Wanna share the rest of that tray of brownies!! :D
No you don't need to be a special member to post a picture, when posting a reply you need to click on the little yellow box with the 'mountains' on (3 to the right of the hyperlink clicky) and input the URL/or the direct link URL in there and voila, you will get pictures in your post!
Or type [ img ] before the picture's url and [ /img ] after (without the spaces)
Click quote on one of our posts and you will see what it's meant to look lik :)
Ok.
i learnt how to post a picture here but the one I tried was HUGE !
So i deleted it.
I guess i have to try with a different code.
They have 4 for forums!
But thank you.
I'm getting there!
And i'm glad the food looks yummy, thanks :)

Strudel.. my favourite dessert ever ! It disappears in a few hours...
It doesn't take long, it's healthy, yummy, everyone seems to like it.
So I use it often to show how great vegan food can be.

Mediterranean olive quick bread
This one came out even better the second time around when I added
dried tomatoes, as the recipe asked. (i was out of them the first time I tried it).
Enough pics now.

Oooooh... is that olive bread from The Joy of Vegan Baking, Veg cat? I have been wanting to make that...
That strudel looks amazing! Where did you get the recipe?
OMG I wish I coulda had that strudel for breakfast!
Thank you!
It comes from "the joys of vegan baking".
I slightly changed the recipe though.
I didn't use phylo pastry. I used just one sheet of another type of pastry.
I'm not sure how you'd call it. It's the same one I use to make quiche.
Anyway, then I just followed the instructions of the book very carefully
and yes, it's the yummiest strudel i've ever made.
She says to spread non-dairy butter on the pasty.
I used soy butter and it tastes delicious..
I love that book.
I've been trying a lot of the recipes and they all came out super so far.
I'll post more soon
bye
My bf's sister has that book, I was going to borrow it and try and make gluten free versions of the recipes in it, but never got around to it.
Congratulations on posting your lovely looking food, vegcat!
Joy of Vegan Baking is a lovely book, haven't got around to making anything from it yet - I suffer from too-many-cookbooks-syndrome:o, the one thing that annoys me though is the copious use of egg replacer, I hate that stuff!
For each egg to be replaced, blend 1 tbsp ground flax seed w/ 3 tbsp water.
For baking, you can use banana or applesauce, too.
All I have made from The Joy of Vegan Baking so far were the peanut butter cookies and the banana choc. chip muffins. The peanut butter cookies were a bit moist (they didn't seem quite like the non vegan ones my mom makes), but they were good. The muffins were delicious.
Ani Phyo's Save the Salmon pattie (only I left out the dulse so they don't taste fishy) on gfree bread. One half w/ hummus the other w/ Plamil mayo, both w/ salad

oh my goodness, look at that cupcake!!!
I really want to try that banana chocolate chip muffins though! I'm not ready to buy another cook book though, my first is in the mail right now (veganonomican)
@kitteh: how do you get along with Ani Phyo's books? I wanted to buy one but reviews were quite bad.
