salt water taffy

Is salt water taffy vegan? I've researched online but no luck.

From Wikipedia:

"Salt water taffy was a noted invention of Atlantic City, New Jersey and became a common souvenir of many coastal resort towns. Modern commercial taffy is made primarily from corn syrup, glycerin and butter. However, the Laffy Taffy and Airheads brands do not contain any animal-based products."

It says "However, the Laffy Taffy and Airheads brands do not contain any animal-based products", which would mean those are vegan.

laffy taffy and air heads are nowhere nearly as awesome as salt water taffy. Damn

I've never had salt water taffy but we sell that laffy taffy at my work. It looks like melted tire rubber with colour added :o
