Tofu Misozuke (cheese alternative)
I just heard about this cheese alternative which is an old tofu recipe from one district in japan (in fact you can't get it there easily ive heard).
Anyway its tofu fermented or cured in miso along with other stuff (if you want) like nori or spice.
Here is where i was linked to, but you can look it up. Honestly, it looks delicious and sounds like people really like it, so it could be one of the best cheese alternatives out there (just that nobody knows about it).
Has anyone tried it, heard of it or has anyone made it?

Me too, will have to get some tofu
Re: Tofu Misozuke (Cheese alternative)
Just tried last week, we can find that quite easily in tofu shops in Japan. The seller told me that it was cooked by people living quite far from the sea to recreate the taste of the urchin they couldn't eat. Was really excellent ! Looked like some french cheeses, surprising !!!
Thanks for the recipe !

They often call that うにとうふ (unitôfu : urchin tofu)
Re: Tofu Misozuke (cheese alternative)
Yeah ive heard it tastes a lot like some stronger french cheeses, but i really wanna try marinating it with spices or nori and such! Interesting that they used it to recreate the taste of urchins
I have heard that it can be hard to find even in japan so its awesome that you found some! (also im jealous that there are tofu shops there hah)
