Awww, it's okay babe, we will keep some soy yogurt on standby for next time :D

I find the curry quite plain myself. But I am really glad that Spoons have taken this important step forward.
From reading the thread it certainly sounds like a pretty sweet introduction. It'd have been easy for JDW to introduce a non-vegan curry as there are tons of veggie ones.
I'm not a mahoosive curry lover, but if i get trapped in a JDW i may give it a try - especially since their burgers are now cheese filled. Yuck!
How much are their curries normally? I'd hate to know Vegans are being ripped off...
It's £5.99 according to the current online menu
What does spinach taste like?
Spinach.
Eat some and find out :)
Got a letter back from weatherspoons about the screw ups they made (see previous posts). They said they will seriously investigate the food service there.
Feels like a 'whatever' letter
Wetherspoons pubs are weird. I like the no-music policy, but the one you visit is either packed or dead.
Still... can't go wrong with their current 99p San Miguel offer, eh? :)
Wetherspoons are good in that they sell lots of westons cider :) I do agree that they are either packed or dead though. Where I used to live, the spoons there was always packed and really rough. It was quite big but was empty apart from a few un-matching sets of tables and chairs (I got the impression the rest of the decor had been broken in fights). The one where I live now is quite cool but I don't know if I would ever want to eat food from somewhere like that :r
I finally received a response today.
The £2.99 Spicy tomato pasta IS suitable for vegans :D
They've also updated the nutritional info on the website now to confirm it.
Thats great news, I don't always feel like the curry. Will try it next time we are there which is quite often as there aren't many places to eat in Letchworth.
that's really good to know i can get a meal in Wetherspoons that doesn't burn my tongue off :D
You haven't tried it yet, it does say spicy!
good point... well at least at that price i'll have more money left for drinks to wash it down! ;)
Ah that is fantastic! :D
oh dear, it's not looking good for me then :(
I know, me neither :(
Myself and Gwydion tried the curry and the spicy pasta tonight. Hmm, it was okay. Lucky the wine was vegan at least.
I like the curry, must try the pasta. Which wine is vegan there?
^ The Chardonnay Coldwater Creek. I think. Hopefully, eek!
Yep! :)
I know that some of that site is outdated, but I read it on a more recent list (towards end of last year at a veg place), but havn't found an online version of it yet.
^ Cool thanks Frosty.:)
Cheers, gorillaish one :)
We just tried the pasta, didn't think much of it. It was obviously reheated in the microwave so alot of the pasta was overcooked and bits of it were chewy and hard. It was also a bit sweet for my liking.
the majority of food dishes in he majority of venues is microwaved (after first being prepared normally in the factory) there are a few exceptions such as the Waterhouse in Manchester where more is cooked on grills, in pans, properly.
Generally it comes to the pub in tuppaware (often pre assembled meals upside down) where the lid is loosened it's bunged in the microwave and zapped, lid taken off plate shoved on to and it's flipped over. Then it's ready to serve. Though some things come in sachets and have to be assembled. The same goes for food in many of the spirit group venues too.
I tried the pasta and had a side salad with it...no dressing! It was ok for a cheap snack!
Went to The Counting House in Glasgow for the curry night tonight. We ordered the feast for 2 which comes with 2 curries, bombay potatoes, vegetable samosas and onion bhajis. I took a bite out of the 'vegetable samosas' and they were LAMB samosas. I had swallowed half the damn thing before I looked at it and realised. I'm beginning to get a little pissed off with Wetherspoons and their constant mistakes. You think they would have known considering we ordered 2 vegan curries. Bleh

Risker, I feel your pain. I only got apologies. You got a free meal. I must get meaner
I had the curry on Friday last week at the Moon on the Hill in Harrow on Friday, it was pretty damn nice I have to say, no problems at all.
