Tonight I made Choc-Orange Muffins from this recipe: http://www.veganfamily.co.uk/doublechoc.htm they were delicious but my bf thought they were a bit thick so perhaps I needed to add more rice milk at the end. I also made them w/ rice flour so they are g-free

And last night I made the banana bread from the PPK recipe section, also using rice flour. Made it in a round cake tin as I realised I have no loaf tin!

After tasting the fishless fish and chips at Bristol Vegan Fayre I thought I had to try and recreate what I guess was the recipe. For a first attempt it was pretty good; it still needs some work on it though.
Here's the 'fish'

So much yummy food! Awesome cooking everyone:D All this food is making me hungry!
My work computer has started blocking photos - I'm so annoyed I can't drool over your pictures anymore!!!
P.S. Huddy - your avatar is so cute!!!! Did you take that picture yourself?
Gee, ta:o:) No, I didnt take the photo (unfortunately)-my hubby found it for me while surfing on the net. He has found a whole lot of other photos for me too, but I love that one so much that Ive decided to stick with it. I love cows-so cute:)
Me too! I have dreams of one day having a few rescue cows on a little plot of land he he. Along with my ex-battery hens and maybe some rescued pigs and sheep too. Ah well, a girl can dream :D
That peanut concoction looks very moreish!! (can I have the link to your blog please)
Here's the first of the potatoes from my garden ... Charlottes .... they were sooooo good! All the other stuff is out of the garden too. I love the summer .... loads of fresh, live, raw food.
http://i266.photobucket.com/albums/i...DSCN0169-1.jpg
I envy those with a proper garden! All I have is a tiny patch of shrubs (tho quite big for the city centre).
what did you do to the potatoes?
French dressing with wholegrain mustard.
Pavotrouge ... you can do lots of veggies in containers..... in fact, those very tatties were grown in a container .... that's why they're ready so early.
I did that once when I was about 10 or 11 *giggles* A bit late to get started for this year, don't you think?
Hahaha-what a small world! Id love to rescue some cows too. But unfortunately it will probably be a LONG way down the track.:o But I am hoping that when we buy our first home(in the not to distant future) that if the yard is big enough Id like to rescue some battery hens. I suppose I will just have to wait and see. Fingers crossed for us both!:p
It's in her signature http://veganhomemade.wordpress.com
Your potatoes look yummo too!
Too late for summer potatoes, but get an early variety (Charlottes would be perfect) .... and chit them ... them in July plant them in a container (as big as you have space for, tyres or a bin even) .... then keep earthing them up, protect them from frost and then you'll have your own potatoes for your Christmas lunch.

Yesterday I went to a museum with students and was so happy to find plenty of vegan choices on the menu I had pitta bread with hummous mixed leaf salad, caramalised onions and spicy chick peas with aubergine - so fresh and tasty pic does not do it justice!

Alisont - you always seem to be eatin out. Is Brum good for vegan eats then? When I went there to visit a friend at uni, I starved :(
Emzy - I tend to eat out Sat lunch every week:)
Birmingham has to Warehouse and Sibilas as the 2 main veggie/vegan places to eat in town and other places out of town. I find Worcester is fab for vegans with Chesters, Smile vegan juice bar/cafe and a few other places. Its a lot better than it use to be:)
I'm eating out far too often at the moment...
