Also try and be flexible with the time of travel. Off-peak is a lot cheaper. Going to London after 9 costs me as little as 9.50, whereas on days when I have to get an early train it's closer to 30.
Apologies for cross-posting.
Three of us are living together but sadly one has to move to Shrewsbury for her junior doctor placement. We are thus seeking a lodger from 1st August 2010.
I am a...
Zorillo, I hope you have found somewhere to stay? I'm looking for a lodger myself, but unfortunately we can only consider females as the friend I'm living with is Muslim.

I read it a few days ago and thought it was positive on the whole. What annoyed me was the bit about "choosing" veganism as and when you please, i.e. live vegan most of the time and then have meat at...
My housemate is a great fan of the cookie monster, so I made her some cupcakes:

I wonder how similar it is to her "Eat Your Greens", which I love. Will have to check it out. Thanks for the recommendation!
Manic Organic is great, we regularly go there for breakfast. Very relaxed atmosphere, no rush at all. Mainly regulars who go there.
Oatly is £1 in Sainsbury's.
Lindt 70%, 85%, 90% and 99% dark chocolate are all vegan. Especially the latter is divine!
Sainsbury's does buy 2 for £2 on Alpro soy yogurts and soy milk from the chilled section (starting this Wednesday).
Half price in Sainsbury's! :D
A friend of mine from Austria graduated last year and has been working as a journalist since. It has always been her dream to spend a year in the UK as an au-pair. She is extremely hard-working, very...
Yes, I am getting help and I have been gaining weight. It just takes time to really make changes. I know I should listen to what my body is trying to tell me, and I'm don't intend to continue...
Veganwitch, you are being helpful - thanks for the link.
I'm not too sure about probiotics though. I know that in my case it's resulting from anorexia. I should eat enough so that my stomach doesn't...
Do you have any tried and tested tips or remedies offering short-term relief, apart from antacid medication and dealing with what's causing it?
At Sainsbury's as well.

Alpro yogurts (both 4-packs and the big pots) are 1 pound in Sainsbury's. Same for soya milk.
You can use the journey planner on the Travel West Midlands website. Just type in where you're leaving from and the address of the restaurants, and they will give you the bus routes....
Thanks for this! Sounds like a lovely B&B experience. Unfortunately I have already booked my accommodation, but should I have reason to return to Dundee I'll try the one you recommended.
D'oh, second year I won't make it to Bristol, but I'm only getting back from a conference in Dundee late on the 30th :(
Time to send them a flood of angry emails. I already had a go at Innocent for betraying their supposed values. Not that they care when big money's involved...
I hope this won't happen: http://www.flex-news-food.com/pages/23371/Belgium/nestle-unilever-reported-among-alpro-soya--bidders.html
No more Alpro for me then!
I hope fellow vegans in Scotland can help me. I'll be in Dundee at the end of May, but have decided to give the conference dinner a miss and make use of my limited time there to explore the town. I...
Alison, ask in the One Earth shop. I was looking for vegan coffee creamer and she told me that they don't stock it because there isn't enough demand. She then pointed me towards a Jewish shop nearby...
Shame on me for eating Easter chocolate already, but a friend of mine had bought one from Hotel Chocolat and shared it with us last night - it was absolutely divine! Have to get at least one for...
Jamboxrock, your bentos are fantastic as ever! How do you make the savoury apple sauce? Sounds interesting.
Depending on when my viva is taking place I'll definitely be there this year. I'll probably come down from Birmingham for the day only, either Saturday or Sunday. Can't wait to meet you all!
Fantastic!!! :) Would be great to have a meal there with some of you.
oh no! that is bad news indeed :(
I did my Erasmus year in Bologna, and it was the best time ever - I wish I could go back! Out of the three places you've listed it would definitely be my first choice. If you need any tips about...
Alpro yogurts (the 4x125g packs) are 2 for 2 quid in Sainsbury's.
