    i agree with what est said, i too have a horse which i bought 2 years ago because our local rescue centre doesn't have horses, and alot of horse rescue centres don't let you have them just like that....

    yes constipation and 'straining' is usually the cause, if they get really bad try some anusol hc cream (available from the chemist) whatever you do don't let your doctor talk you into having them...
