Tried the Ravioli today on toast. It was OK, but not amazing. Mind you it's cheap tinned food so I didn't expect anything special.
Mmmm I always have Redwoods slices in bread buns with Plamil mayo and lettuce.
Was in Morrisons today and found some vegan Ravioli (Morrisons brand). I'm quite sure it's new as Ive never seen it there before. Will report back once Ive tried it.
Out Of This World stores sell Scheese, at least the Leeds one does.
edit: They have a website: http://www.ootw.co.uk/m1aboutus.shtml
I still havent tried any as Im not a great fan of green beans. Can anyone recommend a nice recipe for them? Are they good in curry or anything like that?
Hmm interesting, thanks for that article. I'm deffinitely going to have a try of oat milk and maybe almond milk...but I think I'll still have soya milk because it's so much cheaper.
What's wrong with soya milk Manzana? It seems that everything these days isn't good for you
My fave is Alpro but now and then I do like So Good with Omega 3.
Thanks for all the info, I must admit it's a bit confusing. I'll try have a proper look through it all. I've bought an iron/vitamin C supplement for the moment but I'll see my doctor if things don't...
I think I have an iron deficiency. I have a lot of the symptoms at the moment. Every morning I have bad stomach pains, I get loads of headaches and dizzines, feel more depressed than usual, have had...
There lies another excuse for them to justify abusing chickens
Here in the UK you can get 'mild and light' olive oil which doesn't have a bitter taste - it's the one I use for most of my cooking and tastes fine. Apparently people over here tend to prefer it to...
I have avoided the beef style slices because well...they sound too 'heavy' if that makes sense.
I always seem to use light olive oil no matter what I cook, although I never deep fry anything. It'll be nice to know if there are any important differences in oils though. Personally I think light...
Hi pansypuss, there's a guide here for vegans in Scarborough:
http://www.scarb.co.uk/
I think using the 'allergy' excuse is good because it looks bad on them if they don't do it properly.
Wow how confusing all this is
Just check on the back of packets that things don't contain milk/eggs/honey etc. Holland and Barrett have a good range of vegan burgers, mince, sausages etc.
Hope it's ok to start a thread specifically for this as I couldn't find one just about Cafe Nero using the search engine.
Ok - I emailed Cafe Nero recently and they say that their hot chocolate...
That's brilliant :)
Unfortunately a lot of vegan foods online won't be cheaper than buying in the shops. If they were I'd do all my shopping online :)
What bugs me is how so many supermarkets call dairy products 'natural'. What is natural about drinking milk from another animal and abusing it to get that milk is beyond me
This isn't really 'vegan' news but I thought it'd be interesting to read.

I have felt this way to some degree so I understand how you feel yasha. By becoming vegan Ive had to think about so much more than most people and sometimes it makes my brain want to implode...
Someone on veganfitness.net mentioned them as being vegan, and yes from what I've seen of the ingredients I assume them to be vegan (no butterfat/milk etc).
Had a banana and tofu smoothie for breakfast.
The Granose Soya Creem tastes horrible and stale - I bought some at Christmas, tasted it and threw it in the bin. I've also had some Soya Too! squirty cream, which wasn't that pleasant either. Again,...
Anyone seen this? They had a man on who drank loads of milk and Gillian told him that if he continues it'll lead to brittle bones and suggested that rice milk is one of the healthiest options....
Again I missed breakfast as I felt ill this morning.
Had a spicy bean burger in a bread bap, and spinach with garlic & pepper mayo for lunch, plus a few too many spoonfuls of Swedish Glace.
...
Plamil chocolate is next on my list of vegan things to try :p
Are you sure about this? I used to buy their version of 'chicken style pieces' when I was veggie and they contained egg and milk, so I assumed that their version of mince would too. I better go back...
Now there's some more things I need to try from there :p
I don't know if they're suddenly stocking new vegan products, but I noticed they have Redwoods sage and herb slices, plus some other Redwoods mock meat slices, and Granose nut...
I found Plamil mayo a bit too sharp at first too, but have started to get used to it. I usually grind some garlic and pepper in though - it's great with chips! I'll try adding olive oil like others...

A shame they didn't research the benefits of soya milk at the same time
Had an oatcake and soya margarine for breakfast as I didnt feel hungry at all...
Had a soya protein shake earlier and Im now cooking some spicy bean burgers and steamed brocoli.
Not sure if this belongs in this section but I cant figure out where else it could go..
Anyway what does everyone think about tea and its antioxidant benefits? I've read time after time that green...
This is what it looks like, just so you know what to look for:

Telling my boyfriend that milk contains pus has now put him off milk and cheese. Result :D
