i presume you mean mussels, the shellfish?
i tried to post this yesterday but couldn't get the forum to work. i've been buying these nut cutlets for ages but they've recently changed them to add whole peanuts, i preferred them before when...
i'm pretty sure they are!
i agree that the shortbread was very crumbly, it always ended up a bit crushed by the time i got it home; but the chocolate chip ones were very nice and crunchy.
Tesco still have FreeFrom vegan...
this is the reply i got to my complaint about them adding egg to their FreeFrom cookies:
Thank you for your email. I am sorry you are no longer able to eat our Freefrom biscuits because they now...
^ oh great  what the hell are they doing?!
i went looking for any old stock of the vegan cookies but they had none. :(
awesome, those things nearly always have lactose in them! woo! :D
^ i've never seen those in Tescos!
:(
i will definitely do the same!!
my favourite Nana's cookie is the peanut butter one which i've only ever seen on Veganstore. yum yum.
Nana's cookies are great, but you probably got more cookie for your money with the Sainsburys ones.
^ noooo! have they got rid of the old ones completely or just changed the recipes? i liked the chocolate chip cookies and shortcake. if they've got rid of them/made them non-vegan i'll be...
wow, i've never seen Cheezly or Scheese in my local Sainsburys and it's pretty big.
i think that was their excuse for removing the 'vegan' labels, yes.
there's been a lot of discussion about that lily, Sainsburys started taking the 'vegan' labelling off their own brand packaging for a while, they said they're bringing it back but there are probably...
i saw a notice in my local Sainsburys once saying they'd had to recall a load of cheese sandwiches because they'd been marked as vegan.
cedar, that usually happens with the avocados i buy from my local wholefood shop. i've found Asda organic avocados to be the best.
for some reason many mediterranean/middle eastern style ready-made foods have honey in them, presumably they think it's more 'authentic' than using sugar.
i think i've seen them in my local shop but to be honest i don't look too carefully at that section as i don't really buy ready meals.
their organic products seem to have better labelling in general, including packaging recycling information and so on. perhaps it's because they've recently rebranded their organic range, and perhaps...
now there's an idea! :D
the last couple of days i've been lazy so bought the vegetable dunkers, spicy beanburgers and raspberry and blueberry sorbet from Sainsburys. they're all quite good. the burgers seem very similar...
were they the 'Basics' ones? i bought them because they were labelled vegan but they're really stingy on the dried fruit.
fortunately it's really easy to avoid supermarkets in Brighton.
i'm really sick of Sainsbury's labelling now. i just don't understand it and repeated emails don't seem to be getting through to...
i've found my local Sainsburys often run out of Rice Dream with calcium but always have loads of the non-calcium added one. i bought a carton of Sainsburys' own brand rice milk last time...
i tried the Free From chocolate chip cookies and sultana cookies, they're both very coconutty and i thought the sultana cookies tasted very salty. i prefer the choc chip ones i think.
i hadn't noticed until you said that Pob, but then i smelt one the other day and you're right, they do!!! maybe that's why my cat likes them
LOL Troutina, i've put on a bit of weight...
you win some, you lose some, i guess...
i tried the shortcake the other day. it is really nice. i could eat a whole pack in one go :o
i bought some of the FreeFrom shortcake the other day but i haven't tried it yet. i did notice that as part of their rebranding, they seem to have copied a lot of products and are now selling them...
that's good to know about the wine labelling.
i emailed Sainsbury's and they said their fruit strudels are definitely still vegan - it's just a mistake on the new label that the word vegan has been left off. YAY
 i've got one of those strudels in my freezer because i thought they were still vegan and they'd just changed their label again, as the ingredients seemed ok. i won't be eating it until i can...
